Living a Life that COUNTS -Rev. Barr Nyong Nyong

Genesis 12:1‭-‬4 KJV
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Hebrews 11:8‭-‬11 KJV
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: for he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Some of us are taking stock of how 2023 was
We think back to the election month and how we watched our hopes dashed
We saw fuel rise from ₦145 to ₦250, then progressed to ₦700 and even more.

Some are wondering if God has forsaken Nigeria.
We made reference to all the lofty promises of God concerning Nigeria not coming to pass

Some have checked the list of expectations and most times we are disappointed and have decided to hang out boots like a footballer who has reached his prime.

Notwithstanding what we have been through, I came to announce to you that God, in all His sovereignty, power and splendor will not do what He has purposed to so until you are I are ready.
Are you ready?

It pales into complete insignificance of the cars we drive, the clothes we wear and even the houses we live in, because God has a dream for us.

How do we go about to make it Ng 2024 that year?

The age is rounding up. It is true we no longer PREACH about hell, the rapture and right living.
When we live that this world is all that matters, we are saying there is no hell fire 🔥!

Acts of the Apostles 2:17‭-‬20 NLT
‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy. And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below— blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives.

We cannot afford to play church in 2024 because there is a Prophesy hanging over your head!
God is tired of bench warmers!

If you are a bench warmer in church, note that inside of you are talents and gifting that you have denied the body of Christ.

When we get to heaven, God will not ask us when we get to heaven, what the church building was beautiful.

These things are not bad or wrong, but there is a greater picture.
The Father is looking for men and women who carry raw fire🔥!

There is something inside you and you must make demands for it.

We must change gear. We must fan the fire into flames again!

You can sing and: •The eyes of the blind pop open
•The ears of the deaf will open
•The dead will rise up.

Abraham was living a comfortable life. He was not even so much concerned that Sarah had no child.
He moved when God asked him to. It was only when God began to talk about inheritance that he asked if Eleazer the servant will be the heir, but God said no. The son shall come from his groin.

Nigeria has the largest gathering of Christian on earth, but the way Nigeria is, shows something is not right somewhere.

Are the Christians not praying or living right?
God did not call us essentially to build large churches or cathedral.

In the Town where Charles and John Westley came from, when revival broke out, beer palours closed down, the brothels closed shop.
Today those churches are either mosques or voodoo centres.

Mary Slessor was a teenager and wasn engaged to be married to a doctor in Scotland.
She walked away from her marriage enganegement after she heard her Pastor said there was a dark continent who were barbaric and never heard about Jesus.
She left her comfort in Scotland and promised future and came to Africa because she saw a greater picture.

In 2024, how will you please the Father?
Enough of asking of new shoes, clothes, houses, cars.
All these are important but they pale into it insignificance when the matters of the kingdom are involved.

In 2024 you need to re-access yourself and ask if your life is pleasing to the Father. You determine how heaven will be for you.

1 Samuel 21:8-10 (KJV)
And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.

The Father has a heart cry.
The Father wants us to see through his eyes
If we see through the Father’s eyes, we will do all the things that pleases the Father.

Do you really think that your life is a pleasure to the Father.
In 2024
I will pursue after the kingdom’s business
I will partner with God to build the church
I will be the Aaron that will hold the hands of Moses.

Set our hearts and help them to align to your word in the Name of Jesus.

The Name of Jesus- Rev. Ekerete Nkom

Presently the whole world is standing up for just one man, Jesus! More than two thousand years after he left this earth! There is something special about that Name, Jesus!

The prophecy about Jesus was made made than 700 years before he was actually born

•Miracles happen by the power in the Name of Jesus
•Impossibilities are made possible by the power in the Name of Jesus
•The lame walk, the blind see all by the power in the Name of Jesus

No other Name is given amongst men whereby we can be saved, except by the Name Jesus

•No matter the problem,
•No matter the shame,
Call on the Name of Jesus!
•No one has ever been put to Shame by that Name!
•Situations bow!
•The sick are healed,
• Circumstances change , all by the Name of Jesus!

Isaiah 9:6‭-‬7 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Wonderful – something spectacular
Counsellor– He gives directions and over the ages, His counsel has never failed
The Mighty God – there is no situation He cannot change
The everlasting Father – it means He is unchangeable.
The Priest of Peace – He brings peace to every Storm of life

The Name of Jesus is superior to all things, all Names and powers.

Colossians 3:17 KJV
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

The Name of Jesus is victorious.

Acts 3:1-6 KJV
Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

The Name of Jesus is all that we need

The man was content with silver and gold to keep body and soul together, but there was something else more that.

Don’t ever look down on yourself.
Don’t ever settle for less. The Name of Jesus is a great name!

In the Name of Jesus Christ
Anything in my life
Anything in my body, soul and spirit that is not of God, be terminated now, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

COUNSELLOR – HIS COUNSEL has never failed.

Luke 5:1-7 KJV And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, and saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

A simple encounter with Jesus changed the narrative.
Don’t conclude on anyone. It is not over.

The name, the name of Jesus
Is greater and higher than all names
It is not an ordinary name
It’s the name that’s full of power and grace
At the name all sickness bow
Demons tremble at the sound of that name
It is not an ordinary name
It’s a name that full of power and grace

No matter the situation
No matter the challenge
Don’t ever give up on God.
GOD’S COUNSEL TO YOU TODAY
1. SERVICE
Serve God no matter the situation
(Exodus 23:25, Mark 10:35, 1 Sam 17:12-15)

1Sam 17:12
David was not the first son of Jesse. If it was by hierarchy, he was not qualified to be King.
At the time of the anointing, he was not at the meeting.

1 Samuel 18:18
David had no qualifications but service located him.

2 Sam 7:18 KJV
In any place you find yourself, you are serving God by serving men. Men may not recognise you, but by and by, you will be rewarded

2. FORGIVE
Don’t carry anyone in your heart into 2024.
For the sake of Christ, let go.
Now that God has kept you to the end of this year, forgive.
Don’t be a barrier to your own promotion, upliftment and elevation through bitterness and unforgiveness

If you were not talking to someone, begin to because of God

3. LOVE
1 John 4:7-8,16 KJV
If you cannot love a fellow man, you cannot claim to love God.

Philippians 2:10 KJV
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

There is no hiding place for the devil.

Your name is a strong tower Jesus
To you belong all power Jesus
Whenever I call your name
You always come and make a way
Your name is a strong tower Jesus uh uh uh yeah

In the Name of Jesus Christ
Whatever is in my body
Whatever is in my Soul
Whatever is in my spirit
Whatever is in my family
Whatever is in my marriage
Whatever is in my career and business
That is not of the Lord, we command you to bow!
Sicknesses, poverty, infirmities, spiritual and physical attacks
Whatever has a name, the Name of Jesus is above you and we command you to bow in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Characters Around the Birth of Christ. – Rev. Joan Nkechi Charles

Matthew 1:1-17 KJV
The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren; and Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram; and Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon; and Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; and Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias; and Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa; and Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias; and Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias; and Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias; and Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon: and after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel; and Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor; and Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud; and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

From the genealogy of Jesus, we find that God takes the unqualified to make him qualified.

There are notable people God mentioned. David was not the most senior, but his name is mentioned first.
God promised that He will raise the Messiah from the seed of David.
Abraham was the first.
Solomon was not a legitimate child, but the son of a concubine. His mother was Uriah’s wife whom David caused to be killed.
Rehab the harlot is also mentioned. She did something that made her name listed.

Ruth is also listed. She was a Moabite who was not qualified to be in there.
They did something and even God broke His record to bring them in.

Their stories teaches us that Jesus came.to.hibe people another chance.
Another chance to
Serve him
Turn a new leaf
Fulfil destiny.

It tells us that God can pick someone from the gutter and clean him up.
God does not call the qualified…he qualifies the called.

Many entered the promise because they acknowledged their faults. If you acknowledge your fault, God is able to bring you out

If you are willing and obedient, God will help you.
There is help in Jesus.

If you acknowledge and repent, He is able to change you and set you free.
Many of us came with all sorts of bags and baggages and God cleaned us up.
If you feel poor and lonely,
Jesus came to identify with the poor and He can change your story.

If you are sad and depressed, Jesus came to give you beauty for Ashes.

We remember where He brought us from. If you feel down, today is not a day to be down. Sadness is not permitted in your home.
I have hope
I have life
I have a future
Because Jesus came!

Jesus came to give us hope. Refuse to be downcast. There is the oil of joy in your heart, for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

If you feel you are under a curse and moving in a trajectory, the Bible says Jesus became a curse and has freed us from the curse of the law .
Rise up and speak into the future.
There is now therefore no condemnation for those who ok are in Christ Jesus.

Jesus was in the tomb and soldiers were guarding it, but He was moving about in to be city.
No matter what men have done to you, you will make progress
You will move from glory to glory
You are rising
You are accelerating

Jesus came to set the captives free
I live above only
I live a higher life because of Jesus
I am above and not beneath.
Above only!
I am not disadvantaged in anyway!

Why was Bethelehem referred to as the least and wondered aloud if anything good can come from Nazareth.

Out of that Nazareth came a mighty Saviour.
From that obscure place where you are, a might MIRACLE is springing out in the Name of Jesus!

Your background does not mean your back must be on the ground.

Another character here is Mary.

Mary was bethrothed to Joseph and suddenly she was found with child. Her story about the power of the Most High overshadowing her was like stories for the gods!

Mary was not the only virgin in the land. What was in the life of Mary that made her qualified to carry the Saviour.

Joseph also is another character
He was a good man. He feared God so much that he decided not to disgrace her. He decided to break the engagement privately. God has to show up.

If there are things that requires God’s intervention in your life, God will show up for you!

Joseph was a great man who feared God.
He agreed to marry Mary and had no sexual relationship with her till she brought forth the baby in her womb that was holy.
Joseph was a man with strong self control.
To the youths, men and women, where is your self control?

For all these characters, their humility attracted them God.
The true mark of a matured Christian is the fruit of the holy spirit.

The wise men were also men who submitted themselves to the leading of God

As you ponder on these characters, may you realise that this same Jesus will soon return to rapture the Church.

Give yourself to Him.
May you not identify with Christ and Christ cannot be identified with you.
It is a day of rededication of our lives to Jesus
As we enter the new year, we want to up our games with our relationships with you

May your word bring strength to serve you like never before.
Thank you for your grace to live for you.
We bless this season for everyone.
We thank you for the peace and gladness which your coming brought to us in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Love of God is INTENTIONAL – Pst Miracle Ben

1 JOHN 4:14 NIV
And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

The profound statement there is God is love. In other words, Love is the nature of God and whatever God will ever do for you is on the platform of love.

When something becomes your nature, you cannot stop manifesting it

Romans 5:8 NIV
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 8:35‭-‬39 NIV
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1John 3:1 NIV
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

1 John 4:18 NIV
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

John 3:16 NIV
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:5 NIV
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Jeremiah 31:3 NIV
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

Paul in his writing, prayed a prayer that changed my mentality.
I was thinking Paul will pray for financial abundance for the Churches.
He prayed that God will give them spiritual wisdom and their eyes of their understanding be enlightened.

It is only when you understand the love of God that you will live in victory.

It is the love of God that brings us together.

The early Church were not taught how to give, but they received the love of God and on their own went to sell their land and brought the proceeds at the feet of the Apostles.

Luke 15:11-23 NIV
Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

From this passage:
1. God’s love is INTENTIONAL, Well thought out, planned, He deliberately stepped out of his way to show you how special you are to him.

God sees us the same way, no

2. God’s love is UNCONDITIONAL
We do not have to do anything to be loved by God.

His love is UNCONDITIONAL. It is without conditions, reservation, or qualifications.

The things that we need to fulfill for God to love us, He fulfilled it on the Cross.
According to Bishop Wale, I will rather worship a God who kills His Son for His enemies, because of His love.
There is nothing we can do to earn His love. The standard was too high that God by Himself had to fulfill the demands.
God loves us unconditionally.

3. God’s love IS FOREVER.
His love is not seasonal or dependent on an event. His love is constant.
He loves is consistently because that is his nature. The only thing found in God is GOODNESS and we cannot stop loving God!
Walk in confidence because you cannot ever be stranded.
His love is not time bound or limited.

4. God’s love is STEADFAST
It is unchanging,
It is unwavering,
It never ceases,
He can never change His mind concerning me.

Numbers 23:19‭-‬20 NIV
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it.

No man can talk God out of loving you!

A positive understanding of God’s love towards you will make you never the same again!

Understanding the love of God will:
i. Change the way you see God. You will see Him as a loving Father who will never forsake you

ii. It will affect your relationship with men.
If Christ does not see any fault in me, no man is permitted to see any fault in you.

iii. It will change your attitude. Addictions leave you gradually.

This is because you continually feed on God’s word.

iv. It will leave am impact in your prayer life. You do not go to God in prayer to beg him.

We must come to God in Boldness, believing that He is a REWARDER. The way we pray will definitely change when we understand his love and know that we are relating with God who is our Father. We go to Him anytime without to restrictions.

v. It will leave an impact on our attitude towards God’s work.

We do what we have to do because we are moved by love.

May you see the fruits of God’s love in your life in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Focus on JESUS! – Rev. Ikechukwu Ajuorah (JP)

It is true that Jesus was born but we have gone past that realisation.

In our culture then, when a child is born, he is taken to the diviners to ascertain his purpose on earth.

Hebrews 12:2 KJV looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

What was the purpose of His Birth?
JESUS was to be looked upon
To.look is to OBSERVE
To SEEK to Know and understand.

Matthew 11:29 KJV
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Who is Jesus?
Why did He come?

Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

A government must have a domain, a kingdom.
To ORDER IT means to govern.

The characteristics of His governance are;
1 Government and
2. Justice

Matthew 6:9-13 KJV
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Ingredients here
are
1. Our Father who is in heaven
2. Thy kingdom come
3. Thy will be done on earth and it is done in heaven
4. Give us this day our daily bread
5. Forgive us our trespasses
6. Lead us not into temptation
7. Deliver us from all evil

John 4:34 KJV
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Matthew 6:31-33 KJV
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Whatever you do as. Believe, I employ you to carry God with you.

The joy of the man that has laboured is different during harvest, than that of the man who merely sit down to collect .

The Master is waiting for your products

The governor defends and protects the citizenry.
It is not possible to serve the King and not be catered for!

Nehemiah wore a gloomy face and the king noticed it.
He was bothered about the kingdom.

Like Nehemiah we should be bothered about the kingdom of God.
We must not build social strata and have the kingdom neglected.

What is your priority?
Define it!

A believer is mindful of the kingdom!
You must know your assignment and know what to do per time.

If all you have amassed and acquire does not add to the kingdom of God, it amounts to nothing!

NEED CONSCIOUSNESS is peganism.

You must have money because you are a solution to the problems of man

When Jesus was in earth, He went about DOING GOOD! Check your life, are you doing good or not?

Luke 17:26‭-‬30 KJV
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Luke 9:57‭-‬60 KJV
And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

In 2024, Follow God!
When you carry God, there will be an Evidence in the Name of Jesus Christ.

WHAT THEN IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD?
It is that system of governance whose preoccupation is the salvation of mankind.

Luke 18:18-22 KJV
And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

This is not the time to be ashame to propagate the kingdom. We must preach wherever we find ourselves.

Whatever is hindering you from carrying the kingdom, drop it!

...sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

That man heard this and left Jesus very sorrowful.

From today, you will think the kingdom.
Prioritise the kingdom
If you dancing
If you are having business meeting
If you are working
Let the kingdom be prioritised.

Why Worry when God has settled it? Pst. Debbie James

1 Samuel 10:1‭-‬2 KJV
Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?

Some of us believe that only few or some people are called… That is not true.
Everyone of us is called. The difference is in the assignment.

Be grateful for what have achieved and celebrated your strength.
The same grace on the rich is the same on the poor. The difference is in the way they used their opportunities.

You were born for a purpose, so stop wishing that your life was like another person’s own.
We put so much stress on ourselves

Jeremiah 1:5 KJV
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

To be chosen is to be elected.
That it is not happening now does not mean that it will not happen latter.
That the contract you applied for did not click does not mean it is the end

What is that thing giving you stress?

Is there anything too hard for God.

Don’t compete with anyone. Shine your shine and I shine my shine. It is a shining thing!

If you go to the market to buy a wrapper, one wrapper can have different grades, Hitarget, Hollandaise even Excellence. When we stand out, the difference may not be obvious.

Be careful for nothing
Our heavenly father knows we have need of it!

That thing you are looking for, it is done already!
Only believe!

Matthew 13:58 KJV
And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Our unbelief has restrained the hand of God!

When God remembers you, it does not look like your yesterday. It is more like a dream!
God makes it beautiful
He makes it loud
It may not be when you need or want it, but it will be bigger and better!

The Father was bothered about the son because what he sought was already found!
Hustles have taken the place of God but God is saying, whatever you need, I am able to do it.

Why does God not give when you want it?
God can keep a testimony for years so that many will be saved by her testimony in the next 10 years.

Habakkuk 2:3 KJV
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

WHY DO WE WORRY?

  1. Uncertainty about the future.

Matthew 6:25 KJV
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Is it possible not to take thoughts about the next meal when nothing is available?

Don’t allow it to enter your head!
In the battlefield of the mind by Joyce Meyer, our minds are like traffic. You decide what stays and what should not stay.
You learn to become a traffic warden in your mind to replace thoughts with the word of God.

The devil paints pictures in your mind that will lead to depression.
Replace it with good thoughts.

Matthew 6:26-30 KJV
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Shall he not much more do it to you?
He will!

You may not have what it takes now, but I know that our heavenly father knows.

You may feel down and feel like God
Has somehow forgotten
That you are faced with circumstances
That you can’t get through
But right now it seems that there’s no way out
And you’re going under
God’s proven time and time again
He’ll take care of you
… He’ll do it again (Oh He’ll do it again)
He’ll do it again (Yes He will do it again)
If you’ll just take a look
At where you are now
And where you’ve been
Hasn’t He always come through for you
He’s the same now as then (Don’t you know God has not changed)
You may not know how
You may not know when
But He’ll do it again
… God knows the things that you’re going through
And how you’re hurting
He understands just how your heart
Has been broken in two
He’s the God of the sun, the stars, the sea
He is your Father
He’ll calm the storm
He’ll find a way and He’ll fix it for you
… He’ll do it again (Oh He’ll do it again)
He’ll do it again (Yes He will do it again)
Yes He will
Just take a look
At where you are now
And where you’ve been
Hasn’t He always come through for you
He’s the same now as then (Don’t you know God has not changed)
You may not know how
You may not know when
But He’ll do it again
… He’s still God and He will not fail you
He’s still God, He has not changed
I know He’s still God and He’s fighting for you
Just like Daniel, just like Moses
Just like Shadrach and Meshach, Abednego

2. We worry because we don’t know who we are and what we carry.

Genesis 39:19-23 KJV
And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled. And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

Genesis 40:1-7 KJV
And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their Lord the king of Egypt. And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers. And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound. And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward. And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison. And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad. And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his Lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?

Joseph knew whom he was and even in the prison, Joseph stood out!

As you identify with God, his grace will rub off on you!
When you stay with someone, with time you begin to operate like that person.

3. Have an understanding of who you are.
That gives you the strength

4. Know who you are!

2 Kings 4:2 KJV
And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

What do you have in your hands?
The widow thought she had nothing. The little you have is enough!

While waiting for the job, do something else.
If something is too difficult, God’s hands is not in it.
Whatever you are looking for, is settled.

You Have something in your hands!

Gratitude – Bishop Asuquo Akpan-Ekpo

Thanksgiving is not just a tradition of the church, but a practice and covenant response of a child of God to the Faithfulness of God
It is the instictive response of a child of God to God.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

You can pray amiss but cannot praise amiss

Psalms 92:1 KJV
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, And to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

Psalms 107:1 KJV
O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: For his mercy endureth for ever.

It is a covenant response.
One of the greatest challenge of the body of Christ is ingratitude

2 Timothy 3:1-2KJV
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Two words stand out
Men shall be lovers of themselves
Boasters in their own mights.

One of the things we see more as we approach the end of the time is that people have become increasingly pretentious.

They behave as if they can do without God.
Someone can do so much for himself and less for God.

The most Faithful tithers are not the richest but the most committed.

The natural instinct of man is to be self-centred.
A man can take care of himself and not be bothered by the things of God.
Ingratitude is a sign of the endtime.

It is conviction that secures the attention and promises of God.

The difference between the woman with the issue of blood and others in the crowd, when she went through the press to touch Jesus, was CONVICTION.

Matthew 9:21 KJV
for she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

She believed from her home that elan encounter with Jesus will change the story of her life.

Conviction made her to stand out!

Mark 5:30‭-‬34 KJV
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Inspite of the crowd, virtue came from Jesus to one woman.
Conviction commands virtue.
There is virtue in this atmosphere and only conviction can secure what is hovering over this atmosphere.

James 1:5-8 KJV
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

In asking, there must be a conviction that he will receive from God.

The capacity to receive from God is rooted in conviction.

Hebrews 11:4 KJV
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

Giving is an act of FAITH. He gave with conviction. He looked for the best, the fattest, the firstlings. This made his different from Cain.
The first in animal science has a stronger genetic order!

There must always be a response from heaven when offerings are made.

Psalms 90:14 KJV
O satisfy us early with thy mercy; That we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

I heard this message from Bishop Wale Oke in 1994 during one of our conventions in this same place. My heart got connected and I gave the money I had been saving for a pair of shoe . Today, the story is not the same… my life has been different from that point of my life to date.

WHAT IS THANKSGIVING?

1. Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude.
It takes gratitude to be thankful.
It takes a grateful heart to be thankful.

•You cannot give lavishly
•You cannot thank God excessively.
•You cannot celebrate God abnormally and shagaciously unless there is gratitude

•Gratitude is the Expression of appreciation
•It is the show of appreciation for what God has done
•It is the demonstration of what God has done.

Gratitude must be Expressed!
•It begins as an impression within and ends with an expression without.

When God makes an impression with you, Express it.

We express gratitude in two dimensions
a). Through the verbal dimension of expression for his mighty wonders.
When God has done for you beyond your wildest imagination, you can sing out in gratitude.

When He has done some things that are unbelievable yet undeniable, you sing:

You are God from the beginning to the end, there is no need for argument, you are God all by yourself

b). Material Expressions. Here we express gratitude by offering our substances in our hands. It is letting our gifts speak for us. Our gifts have a voice. The gift speaks for us.

Luke 6:38 KJV give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

God can enter a discussion group and turn the discussion in your favour. This is how men give to your bosom

These two dimensions go together. None is independent of the other.

2 Chronicles 29:30‭-‬31 KJV Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped. Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.

Israel had just come out of captivity and this King Hezekiah cleansed up the temple and got everyone to give thanks and express their gratitude verbally and materially.

God is very mindful of sacrifices o. Any given dimension.

He loves a cheerful giver. He loves a tearful giver too!

Psalms 126:5-6 KJV They that sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Jesus is particular about how we give. The standard is how.much he has been blessed.

Luke 21:2‭-‬4 KJV And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: for all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

If Jesus was not particular, He would never ask where the remaining Nine lepers were.

God expects and takes note of that element of sacrifice.

2. Gratitude is a sense of indebtedness toward God

Psalms 116:12,17 KJV What shall I render unto the LORD For all his benefits toward me? I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the LORD.
There is actually nothing we can give Him

Psalms 103:5 KJV Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The greater the sense of indebtedness , the more higher the level of gratitude

The Ark was stolen away and when it was being returned, it was returned, Uzzah put forth his hand to add it and was slain! The Ark was left in Obededum’s house and it prospered him for three months.

David dances and his wife was angry. The confrontation was not plan and David’s response of also not planned.

You carry me
When some carry their God
You feed me, Lord
When some feed their God
You fought for me
When some fight for their God
Jesus
You no dey use me play oh
Na na na na na
You no dey use me play oh

God is not Finished with Nigeria – Bishop Emmanuel Etim

Isaiah 49:14-19 NKJV
But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me.” “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. Your sons shall make haste; Your destroyers and those who laid you waste Shall go away from you. Lift up your eyes, look around and see; All these gather together and come to you. As I live,” says the Lord, “You shall surely clothe yourselves with them all as an ornament, And bind them on you as a bride does. “For your waste and desolate places, And the land of your destruction, Will even now be too small for the inhabitants; And those who swallowed you up will be far away.

A woman in travail is always in pains and crying, and sometimes may not desire to go that path again.
But after the pains, come joy for the birth of a new life.

Nigeria is passing through her birth pangs. She will soon come out of this phase.

1. God will still remember you, your family and Nigeria

Psalms 34:19 NKJV
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

No matter what you are passing through, one day it shall come to an end

2. God is interested in our cases.
May God turn us back to righteousness.
It is sometimes very discouraging that believers in Government forget where they were hewn because of love for money.

Proverbs 14:34 KJV
Righteousness exalteth a nation: But sin is a reproach to any people.

The God that remembered Rachael and made her a mother will remember you.

Genesis 30:22 KJV
And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

3. The fear of God
The fear of God is coming back to Nigeria.
He says if we humble ourselves and pray, he will hear from heaven and will heal our land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

God bless Nigeria!

Acceptable Thanksgiving – Rev. Joan Nkechi Charles

Genesis 21:22 KJV
And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:

The heathen King visited a stranger and said God is with you.
O Lord in this season, make my life an evidence of your presence and let people around me testify in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Genesis 19:14 KJV
And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

There are discussions going in without our knowledge.
May we not walk in darkness in the Name of Jesus.
May mercy speak for you and I in the Name of Jesus.

Genesis 19:22‭, ‬24‭, ‬29 KJV
Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

God’s vengeance was delayed because of just one man
O Lord for my sake, spare my family and community from every evil.
Spare my children
Spare my siblings
Spare my spouse
Spare my community
For my sake Lord.

Genesis 19:12 NIV
The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here,

Wherever our family members are on earth, Lord spare them for our sakes. We bring them individually and collectively before you Lord.

Genesis 19:10 NIV
But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door.

The Angels virtually dragged out Lot and his family.
O Lord show me uncommon mercy even in my mistakes,
Even when I have been slack in following you
Even in my ignorance, Lord show me and my family, mercy.

Psalms 65:11 NLT
You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.

Whatever was not responding before now, let there be an abundance of Thanksgiving
Things that were hard before will begin to speak.
Let the mercies of God overflow on our lives.

Thank you Father as we hear your word.
Let them be backed with grace and let it come with Illumination and insight. Lord have your way in our midst in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Genesis 4:1-7 KJV And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Genesis 4:3-6 NLTWhen it was time for the harvest, Cain presented some of his crops as a gift to the Lord. Abel also brought a gift—the best portions of the firstborn lambs from his flock. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift, but he did not accept Cain and his gift. This made Cain very angry, and he looked dejected.“Why are you so angry?” the Lord asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”

The Bible introduces the sons of Adam, Cain and Abel, One was an animal farmer and the other a crop farmer.

Both brought what they had, one was accepted and the other rejected

It is erroneously believed that Abel’s sacrifice was accepted because it had blood, I strongly disagree because we can only offer what we have and God does not expect us to give what we do not have

  • The difference was also not on the quantity of what was brought
  • The Main difference I can find is in their : Attitude, and the Quality of their offering

NLT gave a vivid description in Vs. 3-4 When it was time for the harvest, Cain presented some of his crops as a gift to the Lord. Abel also brought a gift—the best portions of the firstborn lambs from his flock. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift.

Abel also offered the First and the Best.

Exodus 34:19 NRSV All that first opens the womb is mine, all your male livestock, the firstborn of cow and sheep.

Abel was careful to follow this divine order of giving the first and the best. The Lord accepted him and his gifts.

In vs. 6, the Bible says: Why are you so angry?” the Lord asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected?

Sometimes we become angry that someone is promoted when we had been there, he was so angry that the sin of murder follows

Most time people blackmail, pull down people just to be preferred. Some people think they can outsmart and get the contract. This is a wrong formula to rise and whatever the attendant wealth is, it is fleeting, They have feathers and can fly.

  • The gift is your and it is in your power to give or not to give, you have a choice.
  • It is also God’s right and prerogative to accept or not to accept your gift.

The truth is that as humans, we have been given gifts that we see as contemptuous.

WHAT MAKES OUR THANKSGIVING ACCEPTABLE

  1. THE STATE OF THE HEART

The heart of the giver is paramount before God.

God is interested to know if the giver truly acknowledges God as the giver. Thanksgiving is not a physical affair, but a heart affair.

In Luke 12, the Bible refers to that man as a Rich Fool who never acknowledged God in his success story.

1 Samuel 2:9-  He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

Romans 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

And in John 3:27 … A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

  • THE ATTITUTE OF THE GIVER
  • An acceptable thanksgiving is one that comes from the heart.
  • It is one not done for show, but from the depth of appreciation from the heart and the Lord who sees in the secret and rewards in the open.
  • God knows the pains you have been through and the sacrifices you have made to bring the offerings.

Your heart is very important in thanksgiving.

I remember that on three different times, I have faced near death situations, but mercy said NO!

Some people come to make show during offering, that offering is dead on arrival. Yes God recorded offerings

Attitude is a pattern of thinking about something that translates to the way you act.

Has someone ever asked you to come and collect money and as you approached him, he threw it on the floor?

That attitude is to make you bow at his feet and also make you understand that he is above you!

The attitude of the believer in presenting his offering is important to God.

  • An acceptable thanksgiving begins in your thoughts and shows in your offering
  • It should be done in humility.

Thanksgiving is an expression of humility, acknowledging our insufficiency

Psalms 104 says enter into his court with thanksgiving

The right attitude is an attitude of cheerfulness, reverse, and melodies in our hearts for the privilege to offer unto God.

How can you pay? How much is enough?

It is a privilege to offer unto God. David asked: What can I render unto the Lord?

Thanksgiving is not complete without the giving.

In Luke 17, the leper showed us a right attitude in thanksgiving,

He turned back to show it was an emergency. He gave God first place before going to meet the Priest. He rushed back and was made whole.

  • 2. THE STATE OF THE OFFERING PRESENTED

What is the quality of the offering given?

Cain gave as a religious obligation. Abel prepared for thanksgiving.

He did not select his offering in a hurry. He selected and kept it to honour God.

A heart full of gratitude translates to a basket full of pleasures

  • It is not just about the quantity but the quality!
  • In 1 King 4:22, Solomon blessed Solomon in indescribable ways.

Some are counting in tens, hundreds, thousands and millions, It is the same measure that we are given that God expects us to give back to Him

Ps 107:2. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

An acceptable thanksgiving is a sacrifice

Thanksgiving is the time to return, In this thanksgiving we will return with our heart and attitude and God will receive our thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving comes with wholeness, just like the one leper was made whole

After this Thanksgiving, God will look into your life and make whole all you desire to be made whole,

Solomon offered a thousand thanksgivings and there was a response, God appeared to him and gave him a black cheque.

When God responded to him even a second time, things changed

May God appear for you!

May the Lord touch your heart and give you understanding

May the Lord open the windows of heaven as Thanksgiving is an application for more

The Lord will increase you more and more and from where you will bring it from, the Lord will open the treasures of heaven and pour you out a blessing

He will multiply you and you will not be small!

You will not be in obscurity!

The Lord will multiply your investment

You will never go backward!

You will never be retarded!

Wherever things have been tight, may they begin to soften foer you in the Name of Jesus.

Ps 65:11 KJV Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; And thy paths drop fatness.

May the hard path ways will overflow

Whatever has refused to shift or change will begin to shift and change

In every place you have experienced hardship, may the store house of heaven be opened for you

May the Lord accept your thanksgiving and show you a token for good in the Name of Jesus.
