The Fruit of the Spirit – Rev. (Dr.) Onisoshene Shedrack Charles

One fruit can do many things to the human body
When it had to do with GIFTS, it referred to many, but for the FRUIT, it is written in Singular.
When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, we have the Gift, one gift that has many usefulness.

Galatians 5:16 KJV
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

The onus is on the believer to allow the Holy Spirit use or help you.
If you need to break free from anything, you must make an effort.

Galatians 5:17 KJV
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Galatians 5:17 NLT
The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

The Holy Spirit will be urging you to do some things, He gives us desires that our opposite to what the flesh wants, yield yourself to it.


Galatians 5:18 KJV
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Galatians 5:18 NLT
But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

When you are directed by the holy spirit, you are not under any law.

Galatians 5:19‭-‬26 KJV
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Galatians 5:19‭-‬26 NLT
When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

A tree cannot bear another fruit
Since we are living by the spirit, we are spirit beings.
We are filled with the Holy Spirit.
When He leads us, let us obey Him
We should not desire vain glory or envy one another. There is no need to envy anyone. We all have our our parts to play.

In life, we need to occasionally focus on ourselves.
We need to visit the doctor to know our physically test. Of anything is wrong, it will be dictated early and treated.
It is not different from our spirit man.

3 John 2 KJV
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Like we visit doctors for check up, God has given us a process to check ourselves.

love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

The human flesh is not given to patience.
We are taught to love by the Holy Spirit. These are God’s own divine attributes that He has imputed and infused into our lives.
Each of these characteristics of the Holy Spirit is active and must be seen as we relate in all sphere of life

1. LOVE
This is the God Kind of love. The Agape love.
This love is not as understood by the world.

John 3:16 NLT
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.


The love here is not about feelings, but a deliberate attitude of Goodwill and feeling, not dependent on the fact that someone deserves it.
The love that does not expect anything in return.
It makes a person love themselves even when they feel they are not good enough.
The ability of man to love is limited.

Some have vowed never to love again, but the love of God takes away the pains even when the person is not remorseful

2. JOY
Joy is not happiness.
Happiness is dependent on circumstances.
Joy is gladness that is totally independent of situations and circumstances.
Whether or not there is food in the house, it just flows from the inside.
Happiness is mental, joy flows from within.

God knows we are facing situations and pains, but He gives us joy.
Joy like a river and it is there in my soul. It never runs dry
It is supernatural gladness given by the holy Ghost
Gladness of heart
Deep abiding inner joy from God

This does not mean we will not have moments that we are down cast, but in the midst of this, the devil cannot keep us sad for long.

Without joy, everything dries up and everything begins to be like a chore.

Joy stops you from thinking took much of the situation, but of God.
Joy gives you a surge of strength, in your daily work with God.
It gives you confidence to rise up and keep going.


3. PEACE
Peace is not the absence of turmoil.
The river can be boisterous but the bird is sleeping in a tree.

John 14:1 KJV
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

This presupposes that there was trouble before Jesus says let not your heart be troubled.

Peace is tranquility in the midst of trouble
Don’t get worried over something you cannot change.
Cast it on God and let Him fix it
The peace of God is immeasurable.
Once it flows, it passes all human understanding.

Philippians 4:7 KJV
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.


4. PATIENCE
You do not struggle to have water flow from a tap.
It is inside. If you are not experiencing it, it is time for you to let go.
Some are carrying people in their hearts and cannot have peace because of this.

Patience is long-suffering and forbearance, the ability to take ill-treatment and refuse to lash back.
Sometimes you just keep quiet and let things pass.
Many people have little patience. As children of God, you don’t allow circumstances to cut your fuse short.
You must have mastery over situation and circumstances.
God is very patient and long-suffering.

2 Peter 3:9 KJV
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Many have taken the wrong steps because of impatience and lived a life of regret thereafter.

Trust God to make all things beautiful in His own time.

5. KINDNESS
Kindness is goodness of heart. It comes from the heart.

It is to take thought of others.
This is looking for ways to adapt to meet the need for others.
It is a fruit of the spirit.
No matter what I am going through, don’t lose this fruit of the Spirit.

A kind word or action can meet a need.
You may not have to give, but you can meet someone who can assist and in so doing, you have sown a seed for help.
Your kindness can deliver you from evil.
Jesus is our ultimate model.

After preaching he realised that the people were hungry. When you have a heart of kindness, things will be multiplied in your hands.

Don’t be too focussed on your own problems. Let God have His way always.

6. GOODNESS
Goodness and kindness are almost the same.
Goodness invokes rebuking and confronting evil.

Goodness has to do with someone who is good and does not allow evil thrive.
Jesus used koboko to drive out money changers. It may involve your telling people you may not be a part of evil.

Something special about goodness is living right.

People feel safe around a good person.

7. FAITHFULNESS
Faithfulness means being true to your promise. Being steadfast and dependable.

He can be trusted and their word is truth.
They are people of integrity.
People can trust you with their businesses, life stories and networth.
Some husbands cannot trust their wives with their net worth and vice versa, because the day they find out, everything will be gone.

This was God’s challenge with Israel. God literally called them harlots. It was faithfulness that made Jesus said, nevertheless let thy will be done, on His way to the Cross.

8. GENTLENESS
Every man is a gentle man. This is tenderness, being gracious
GENTLENESS is controlled strength.
You can bring down everything but you put it under control.
It is passion under control.

Proverbs 16:32 KJV
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; And he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

GENTLENESS is a fruit of the spirit. All of a sudden that very wild person is seen as a transformed person.
It is needed in our world today. Many have been hurt, but gentleness will be able to open the hearts for people to come in
Sometime a tough love approach is needed. Sometimes we to be gentle in raising the children

9. SELF-CONTROL
Calm. Having mastered self.
Everyone faces temptation to steal, Lem fornicate, commit adultery, but self-control restrains.

Self control calls for a self-discipline life.
The man in Jesus could have sin, but he refused.
It is self restraint.
Discipline over ones behaviour.

Self control is releasing our grip of the fleshy desire and holding onto God.
Self control means you are able to take control of your temper. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you.
Some have judgmental and critical spirits. Calm down!

If they don’t like other people, they can blackmail them to the extreme.
Lack of self control makes a man not to stop drinking alcohol and smoking.
Fornication and adultery is committed due to lack of self control.

We face temptations daily. Self control is the key to overcoming and living a fulfilled life.
Let the Holy Spirit reign in your life .
You can cast out spirits and go to hell, but if you have the fruit of the spirit, you will make heaven

PRAYER
It is my prayer that everyone under the sound of my voice will yield to the fruits of the spirit
If there are areas we have not yet yielded, may God by His spirit cause these fruits to manifest in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Moving with the Cloud and not the Crowd

Exodus 13:21‭-‬22 KJV
And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: he took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

God promised never to leave nor forsake us.
When David saw Goliath, he refused the look at the size of Goliath but on the size of God.
Sometimes we face challenges and keep looking at the size of the challenges and not over what God has done for us in the past

We have th word of God and the holy Spirit.

David said in:
Psalms 119:11
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee.

This is the Holy Spirit.
God can show up at anytime and in any situation.

Romans 8:28 KJV
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.


The chicken is very good to eat, but the chicken is to eat whatever is infront of them so they look down at all times

Isaiah 40:31 KJV
but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

God wants us to soar and not look down is what is infront of us.
Looking at the things before us is not looking up at the bigger picture.

God directs us, we don’t direct ourselves.
Today is a new day and we do not know what God has in store for us.

When God looks at a situation, things changes.
God who calls us to soar like Eagles and to be ready to receive what he is saying
The Holy spirit can guide us into all truth only when we function with a level of understanding.

John 4:1-4 KJV
When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) he left Judæa, and departed again into Galilee. And he must needs go through Samaria.


He must go through Samaria because there was a divine appoint,
A woman who needed to be touched by Jesus.
A woman who went to fetch water when others were not there.
She was living in shame
She had been with 5 husbands and the present one was not her husband!
She may have had children for each of these men, we do not have the details.
Jesus need to meet with her

Jesus is interested in every detail about our lives.

John 4:5‭-‬6 KJV
Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

That well, Sychar, is still there to date.

Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

He promised to be with us.

John 4:13‭-‬18 KJV
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: for thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

The woman answered truthfully
We must walk with God to truthfully.

If we want God to change your circumstances, we must tell him everything truthfully

4:32‭-‬34 KJV
But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

The disciples wondered if anyone had given him food to eat. They were looking at the natural, bit God wants us to focus on him.



PRAYERS
Lord give us the grace to seek to do your will always.
We know you are returning soon and we want to receive that well-done from you.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

We have this treasure and it is the Holy Ghost.

We have this treasure yet we appear powerless!
• Little wonder then that we hear noise on the roof and do night vigil!
• Little wonder then that we keep repeating prayers and recycle them!

•There is nothing wrong with night vigil, but it is not something that should be monotonous.
I spend the night fellowshipping with the Holy Ghost or understanding the Bible.

Long ago, my mother told me a real life story. There was this neighbour that kept troubling them.
One day a bird flew into the house and children caught the bird and put it in a bottle. By morning the bird was dead. They went to do their morning chores and when they returned, the bird had a strange stench like that of a dead human being
Then they realised that troublesome neighbour had died in the night and as they carried him out, the stench from his body was exactly as that of the bird.
They did not go into night vigil to catch a witch who flew into their home as a bird in night.

We have multiple gifts of the spirit.
Some of the things that happen do not just happen. It is God at work in our lives.

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

The Bible says the manifestation of the spirit is given to everyone individually as follows:
• Spirit the word of wisdom;
• word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
• faith by the same Spirit;
• gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
• the working of miracles;
• prophecy;
• discerning of spirits;
• divers kinds of tongues;
• interpretation of tongues:

We may desire some gifts while God has given us another, and we are not manifesting it because we have not placed value on it.

Some have multiple of these gifts, but we must harness them to be able to manifest.
Every man has these gifts, it is left for us to discover. Discovery comes by working closely with the Holy Spirit.

It is not a struggle.
If you have worked and prayed for it, and it did not come, please be relaxed.

A child of God should not clog his spirit with carnal things so he does leave you.
We have 3 kinds of gifts:
• Revelational Gifts
• Vocal Gifts and
• Power Gifts

1 REVELATIONAL GIFTS
i. Word of Knowledge:
A word that comes at a particular time for a particular need.
It can come by revelations, vision, dreams, intuition.
Joshua 7: 19 KJV
And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

ii. Word of Wisdom
Matthew 10:18-20 KJV
and ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

He promised us a heart and wisdom that the adversary will not be able to resist or gainsay.

Word of wisdom is not gift of wisdom.
It gives us the wisdom to do a particular thing.

You may have knowledge, but it takes wisdom for knowledge to be useful.
It is supernaturally given to solve problems when needed.

Acts 4:13 KJV
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

You cannot be with Jesus and be bereft of ideas!
You cannot be with Jesus and be confused like all others.
Sometimes we talk ourselves into problems without knowing it.

Stephen when persecuted, men could not resist the wisdom and the spirit with which he spoke!

Matthew 22:18‭-‬22 KJV
But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? They say unto him, Cæsar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s. When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

May God fill you with the wisdom that will confuse your adversaries.

John 8:4‭-‬5‭, ‬7 KJV
they say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

They left and could not cast any stone. That is how your adversaries will leave.

iii Discerning of Spirits
Many have spirit of suspicions.
This is the spirit which spirit is acting through man.
By the discerning of the Spirit, you can tell what is not correct.

God does not always give to us what is palatable.

Matthew 16:17‭-‬18 KJV
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.


2. VOCAL GIFTS
• divers kinds of tongues;
•Interpretation Of Tongues
•Prophesies
i. Divers Kinds of tongues
Tongues can be instigated by the holy spirit.
God has messages for us and out of tongues, we can receive instructions from above.

ii. Interpretation of tongues in not transcription of tongues.

iii. Prophesies . Prophesies fortell the future
1 Corinthians 14:3 KJV
But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

Every body has a major level of Grace.
Sometimes prophesies speaks of edification.

3. POWER GIFTS
There are various power gifts. No matter the fire you shout a million times, if there is nothing to ignite it, it will not burn anything

•Working of Miracles
These are the gifts of the spirit. God does not come to a man without bringing gifts.

•Faith
Most people can exercise faith that can move mountains.
We need to take some steps of faith to be able to see results.

•Healing
Most of us are engraced to heal the sick. Sometimes we are limited by fear.
Healing can come upon a believer and can manifest regularly or periodically.

There must be that hunger and desire for more. Faith sometimes or most times lead to healing and working of miracles.

How can a believer carry these gifts and be scared of attacks?

There was a match yesterday in EPL and you already know who won.
Now if you replay that match again, your heart will not skip.
When the Bible says you are more than conquerors, it means victory is ahead.
You may be downcast,
You may be in crisis,
You may be passing through the 🔥,
But you know the end!
Your victory is assured. The battles you are unable to fight, He already fought it on your behalf.

Lord we give you thanks
This is what we know, that we have been made more than a conqueror in Jesus Mighty Name! Amen. We pray that every boy will become a man and every man will be strengthened in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

This means that not loving your wife is hating yourself!

This is how Christ has instructed us to love our wives.

Maturity of men
Responsibility

The beards do not translate to manliness
Your manhood does not also translate to manliness.

who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

This is the model Christ wants for the family.

1. A real man must be an object of happiness in his home. The generator that makes the house joyful
There is a difference between Papa and Daddy
When Papa returns home, everyone cowers for safety, but when Daddy returns, everyone is joyous.
When Daddy travels, he is missed by everyone.

If you don’t like the looks of your wife, dress her up!
This is what Christ did for the Church. He picked her up, cleaned her up and made her beautiful. (Vs 12)

2. You must be a source of total emancipation for your family. (Vs. 13)
Power of darkness speaks of filth, ignorance.
If you buy a new car, give it to your wife and drive the old one..
To be transfered is to be translated, to be translated means to be motorable
To be motorable is to be transported.
Give your wife a transformation that is visible.

I pray for every man, may the Lord empower you to be a provider in your home.
If you want your wife to be faithful and loyal to you, you must Man-Man-Up.

3. You must make sacrifices for your family.
You are not to steal, but your effort should be visible.
You should not be ashamed to discuss your challenges.

The only thing that can provoke a woman to bring out an amount kept aside or secret money, is your benevolence.

There is nothing wrong in being called woman wrapper.
Before then, you were a husband material, now you have been sewed up.
Any man who is not a woman wrapper will never have a peaceful home.

In a conference, it was asked any man that the widejis controlling should stand up, all men stood up except one smallish man. When I asked how and why he remained seated, he said: my wife asked me to remain seated.

4. He must be a true representation of God and a good decent image of God (vs 15, Heb. 1:3).
Real men model for their sons.

5. You must be able to ensure adequate provisions.
By Christ were all things created. You must be seen to be adequately providing for your family.
– Physiological
– Physical
– Spiritual
– Social
– Level of Esteem
– Self Actualization


6. You must be an exemplary and path finder of the family (v.17)
You are to protect and provide, defend your wife with your right hand
You must be able to give leadership and manage resources.
You must give a sense of direction.

7. He must be able of and be an effective administrator of resources (v.18)

8. You must be it crumble under circumstances and leave everything to your wife.
David lost his wife and children, but he arose, pursued and recovered all (v.19)
He must be a wellspring of resources.

The church had spots, wrinkles and blemishes but Christ sanctified and presented her as if she had no faults. Whatever you set your gaze on, magnifies.

Whatever you see and admire in another woman, bring it and make her become it.

As long as you do not see anything good in your wife, you can never be affectionate towards her and lack of affection is very frustrating.

How many have done medical checks this year?
Very few.
It is true that by his stripes we are healed. I agree!
Our bodies are vehicles of purpose. Without the body, our bodies cannot be actualized.
No matter how beautiful our destinies are, we need to healthy bodies to fulfill it.

How many have registered in a Gym?
Bodily exercises may profit little, but very relevant.

Prayer is important, but God never said He will bless the prayer of your lips, but the works of your hands.

After the prayer, what will God bless if you do not have what He is to bless?
This is what happens when you ask for God’s favour with nothing for the favour to be applied on.

In the equation of success, prayer is in the revelatory.

You birth the idea and take actions .
As much as it is His desire to prosper, you must work it out!
God’s wishes for you are sound and good, but it is your responsibility to work it out!
You cannot cover their laziness with spirituality.

When Paul finished preaching, the believers went back and searched the scriptures.

1. Lack of purpose or meaning to life.
It is a lie that a man has 3 important days in his life. The day he was born, the day he got married and the day he dies.
The truth is that a man has two important days of his life.
i. The day a man is born
ii. The day he discovers and fulfills the purpose he was created .
Fulfillment is not in length of days, but on purpose accomplished.

For what person knows the thoughts and motives of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So also no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.


2. Every man deals with stress.
Take it or leave it. Any man living in Nigeria now is faced by one stress or the other.
The dollar exchange rate, the cost of living, all bring about stress.
How do you deal with it?
You don’t have control over these things, you need to navigate your way out.
Some stress does not require prayers.
You need money to solve the problem.

Sometimes you need to avoid people who abuse you even when they are wrong. You will be increasing your stress level to respond to every thing that comes your way.

3. Difficulty in Communication
Many bottle up and this sends them into isolation, loneliness, and subsequently into depression.

You must have someone to talk to.
You must be able to talk expressly and directly. When you are angry, you either walk away or keep quiet!

4. Anger
When you are angry, the devil will manipulate you to say hurtful words that the recipient never forgets!

Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

Everyone deals with anger issues
Aggression!
We are reactive!
If you have no control over your anger, it will indirectly control you.

5. Lack of Meaningful relationships.
Meaningful relationships are people who promote your ideas, true in friendship.
How do you build this kind of relationships?
i. Be true to yourself.
Don’t be a leach to your friends. Be a contributor. The best gift a man can have is the gift of people.

Many are where they are because of what people said about you.
As General as Naaman was, a maid led him to his healing.
Value the gift of people in your life.
Be delibrate about building credible relationships.

6. Feeling of anxiety
Be anxious for nothing.

7. Desire for spirituality .

Talk to a friend and don’t back stab people.

We can pray corporately in tongues but it may make no sense for one to speak amongst people continuously, without an interpreter.

In Acts 2, the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and in Acts 4, they were filled again.
There is just one baptism of the holy spirit, but there are various dimensions.

The Holy Spirit cannot be straight jacketed but there has to be a longing and desire in your heart for it to come to pass.

No man knows the things of a man except the spirit that is in man, in the same vein, only the Spirit of God can know the things that is in the heart of God.
God has deposited this spirit in us for us to know.
Salvation gives you an opportunity to have opened spiritual eyes.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

We call forth the things that have been revealed in us, by His spirit.

This is why we do necessarily need to have elongated prayers.

2. He will bring you the ability to produce the fruits of righteousness

You become righteous as a gift from God.

The challenge is that most have the holy Ghost, but do not know:

In Biblical times, the Holy Spirit used to come and go. Presently, he is there inside of us as a gift from God

In the New Testament, the Angel of His presence is the Holy Spirit. Always be assured of his presence.

He is the one carrying all the earthly ministry of Jesus.

When it is your own, no man can take it from you.
If it is not my own, the person who got is, it is his own.

When the spirit of God comes upon you, you become fruitful.

Some do not understand the workings of the Spirit but know the names of demons!

These are some of the things that will accrue to you when you have the holy spirit.

When you have the holy spirit, you have nothing to worry about the devil. This is because the Bible says “No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper!”

He guides us, He leads us. He is our friend.

from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

Some Preachers have made the Christian life so difficult.
Life is a battle, they preach.
Christianity begins with sitting.

At Salvation, we received spiritual rest.
In Heaven we will enter into all kinds of rest.

Everyone of us has an inner man, but that inner man is a Perfect Man! When you are called a Saint, it be is referred to the inner man.

It is easy to understand when we take about the Father, because when we study the Bible, we see the form the Father took, we can relate easily with the Father.

It is easy to talk about the Sin because Jesus came, died and resurrected.
We have seen pictures re representing Jesus
He healed the sick, raised the dead…
But when it comes to the Holy Spirit, it is difficult because He took no form
At Pentecost He took the form of cloven tongues of fire, so we think he is fire.
It is difficult to relate with him and call him from somewhere.

The Holy Spirit is a Person!
Until you relate with the Holy Spirit, there are several things about God you cannot know.

If you tell people things, it could be merely a a motivational speaking.
There is a wisdom that comes from the Holy Spirit and a voice that wisdom from the holy Spirit.

When Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit descended like a dove

For everyone the Holy Spirit works on then individually.

Jesus said to his disciples to tarry in Jerusalem this they be endued with power.
Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit as a Personality. The third person of the trinity.

When Jesus was on earth, he presented them with the Holy Spirit .
The same Peter who was unlearmlned was talking boldly in the congregations.
When we hear the inner voice, that is the Holy Spirit speaking.

John 6:33 NKJV
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

To quicken is to stir up
To bring back to life.

It is the Holy Spirit that regenerates us when we are born again.

John 6:63 AMPC
It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.


2 Corinthians 3:6 AMPC
[It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive. The Holy Spirit makes us alive.

And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.

The spirit that raised up Christ from the dead is the Holy Spirit!

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

When we are born again, the Holy Spirit does something else.

When you have no idea of what else to do, just fellowship with the holy spirit, and all of a sudden, the ideas will begin to flow.


1 Peter 1:23 KJV

The Holy Spirit will take the word of God and implant it in your heart.

The Holy Spirit illuminates the word and causes it to grow in the hearts of men.

The Holy Spirit witnesses to us and gives us assurances of salvation.

Romans 8:14-16 NLT
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.

The question is:
Do we allow the word of God to dwell on our hearts?

He gives us the assurances of salvation. He witnesses to us that we are children of God..

One of the hindrances of the Holy Spirit is the flesh.

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,

A temple is a place of sacrifice.

for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

He redeemed us with a price .
Everyone on earth seeks to worship something, but by in our case, God sought for us!

The Holy Spirit will not make us be what we want to be without our cooperation.

Romans 8:13 NLT
For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.

He has empowered is by the Holy Spirit. Sin shall no longer have dominion over us. Sin can and should not longer control us!

If you live by the flesh, you will die. You have to mortify the flesh!

The Holy Spirit is a teacher!

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

Before Jesus died, He told them, yet Peter forgot!
But when the Holy Spirit came, everything was everything.

Be careful whom you listen to!
A man is busy telling people that the Holy Spirit is no longer a Teacher. This is why he is so confused and is already contradicting himself!

As young believers we depended on the Holy Spirit to direct us to scriptures and it was working!

So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.

Have you prayed in tongues that it begins to sound like groaning? That means the Holy Spirit has taken over!

The Holy Spirit wants you to fellowship with Him

And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.


We may not look like those whose veil has been removed, but the more we continue to take in and apply his words into our lives, we became transformed and are like him!

The word of God is true, but the word of God needs to be experienced, otherwise someone will ask you, WHERE IS YOUR GOD?

1. God created man to depend on Him

2. God has given us His word for man to depend on it. If you are willing and obedient you will eat the fruits of the land.

3. God gives man the power to make wealth (Deut 8:18)

4. Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, we have passed out of the curse of the law to the blessings of Abraham whom God blesses on all things.(Galatians 3:13-14)

The sacrifice on the cross was to enable us enjoy the blessings that Abraham was promised on the Cross
We are already enjoying it from glory to glory because the path of the just is like a shinning light that shines brighter and brighter into a perfect day.

The mind is a POWERFUL TOOL.
We can perceive things through the mind.

The enemy went to Eve at the garden of Eden. He asked her …has God said?
He worked on her mind and succeeded

Immediately that mind was grabbed, he changed her perception of the greatest of Jehovah.
If He says anything, no matter the indices, it will come to pass!

She doubted the supremacy of God
She probably thought the enemy was right and was her destiny helper .
Her mind was beclouded and this made God’s word on optional for her.

He also went to Jesus and said: “if you are the son of God…”

You don’t need to prove the obvious to any man!
He asked the Lord to worship him!
The enemy can never given you what is already yours. Jesus said to him, GET THEE BEHIND ME Satan!

We were asked to memorise scriptures that had to do with “in Christ”.
We saw that in the New Testament, there were several scriptures about “in Christ”.
When you understand your position in him and the authority he has placed in your hands, then you can be in a position to experience.

How do you experience what you are confessing?

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

With this power, you need no further introduction of the power of God.

No matter what you are passing through, your ONE DAY is coming!

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Anyone that says you will not make it, God will take you there, to an unbelievable height in the Name of Jesus!

David remain the bush champion until he killed Goliath.

If you see a repeated pattern, there is a reason to pray.
If you see that you are not where you ought to be be, there is a reason to pray!

1 Samuel 17:29 KJV
David asked:
And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?

No matter the challenges, you must know your position in Christ!

For one year, God laid me in my heart to sow my entire salary for one year.
It was a rough time for me, but God helped me through.

I was labelled a childless man
I was referred to as the Man with challenges
But today, that same man is a grand father!

Greater is he that in me that he that is in the world!

It is God that gives a man power to make wealth!

Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV)
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Our help comes from the Lord, not man.
When you seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all other things will be added to you!

I am a man that God has blessed.
No man can out-give God.
My sacrifice of one year salary provoked some responses from God.

I received money my hands I have never touched. God asked me to buy Bibles and sow the rest back.
I did.
I received two cars as gifts and sowed them to Ministers who needed cars!

You cannot make yourself better than God has made you!

Something is about to happen this morning.
God cannot lie!
But there is a place of prayer, fasting, the word and believing it with the power of the holy spirit to deal with circumstances.

Psalms 18:26
With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt show thyself froward.

This is the 8th month . The month is new beginnings.

Pray to the God of New Beginnings.
This is not a religious gathering, but a gathering of those connected to Heaven.

Father according to the time of life, by the covenant of seed time and harvest, your sons have responded to the call to sew, release a harvest in their health, wealth and everything that concerns their families, in the Name of God the Father, in the Name of God the Son and in the Name of the Holy Spirit.
