The Authority of the Believer – Rev. Emmanuel Abeke

When a young boy at the age of 15 believes he is old enough to drive a car, his feet are long enough, and wants to hit the road, the truth is that he is disqualified by age.
At 18 he is qualified to be issued a license.

Power and Authority work together
The underage boy is curtailed by the authority to be issued a license.

Power is the ability to overcome the tactics of the enemy
Authority is the power to subdue the enemy.

Luke 10:19 (KJV)  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Power is the delegation to act in place of another.

A time came that Jesus died and resurrected and in
Mark 16:14-17 (KJV)  Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

He had delegated them.
From today, demons will not chase you from place to place. You shall be the person chasing demons from today in the Name of Jesus.

If you understand who you are,…
The authority deposited inside you by God. .you will become a terror to the kingdom of darkness.

You must come to a point where you realize your authority as a believer

Mark 16:18-20 (KJV)  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God.
And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Before this time, the disciples were locked up in a closet.
From today, everything you are afraid of,, will become afraid of you.

The disciples came to the point where they understood that Jesus was with them everywhere they went

As believers, we have been put in positions of authority that comes with responsibly
Colossians 1:13 (KJV)  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

1. When you make Jesus Lord of your life, you must understand that Christ Jesus has placed you in a.position of authority
Who is a believer?
He is one who has surrendered his life to Jesus
He is one who believes that Jesus died for our sins  and road again

A kingdom is a place or domain where kings reign.
For those who were afraid of witches, they have been translated into the Kingdom of our God.

Matthew 28:18 (KJV)  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

The domain here is in heaven and earth. He rules both in heaven and on earth.

Matthew 28:19 (KJV)  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

This is where He delegated the authority to you

Matthew 28:20 (KJV)  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Whatever we have seen him doing, He has delegated the powers to us
The same way the powers on earth were subject to him, is the same way they will be subject to us
We have his backing and authority

We have entered this position of authority because we are in Him

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

John 1:12 (KJV)  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

WHAT MAKES YOU A BELIEVER?

1. You have been delivered from spiritual death

Ephesians 2:1 (KJV)  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Quicken here means you have been brought back to life, from hell, from sin, and from death.

Death is not just the separation from the body, but separation from God
When Adam sinned, he died because he was alienated from God

2. He has been delivered from the wrath of God
i. He is delivered from malice, envy
Ii. God looks at you with love
When Jesus died, he reconciled us to himself

3. He is someone who experiences spiritual resurrection

Ephesians 2:4-5 (KJV)  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

If you believe it, anything that seems dead in your life, receives a quickening power of the holy spirit in the Name of Jesus.

4. The believer is united with Christ.
Ephesians 2:6-7 (KJV)  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

God’s purpose for our lives is that the expression of God, will.be made manifest in our lives.

Ephesians 1:19 (KJV)  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Apostle Paul was praying for the church for their eyes to be opened for them to know the extent of the power of God in them.

Ephesians 1:20-21 (KJV)  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

This is the scope of His powers

Ephesians 1:22 (KJV)  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

The church is part of the body of Christ and all principalities and powers are under our feet

Isaiah 40:22 Sitteth – Far above this round earth, even in the highest heavens; from whence he looketh down upon the earth, where men appear to him like grasshoppers

God sits in the circle of the earth and sees all men as grasshoppers.
By that authority, nothing shall by any means hurt us no matter how they place it

The authority you have can defy natural laws.
God’s mandate is that you will have dominion over all, and not be scared of the attacks of the enemy.

HOW JESUS SECURED OUR AUTHORITY AS BELIEVERS
1. Jesus secured power and  authority for us by paying the supreme price for power at the cross of cavalry
He gave His own blood. Far better that the blood of bulls and rams. He sealed it with His own blood. That blood flows through my veins.
He came as a man to reclaim the authority Satan had stolen from the garden of Eden.

Revelation 1:18 (KJV)  I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Apostle Paul said  O grave, where is thy victory? O death! where is thy sting?

Matthew 28:18 (KJV)  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

John 1:18 (KJV)  No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

I have power.
I have authority

Colossians 2:13-15 (KJV)  And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

We cannot be held bound by past sins
No matter what had been spoken or written against us, Jesus blotted them out with His blood.
The evil speakings are not in line with God’s purposes for us.

SPOIL means He made them.
USELESS
HANDICAPPED
DISGRACED

Your accusers and those speaking against you have been disgraced in the name of Jesus

You carry the light of God.
May God disgrace all those who have contrary opinion against you and the Church in the name of Jesus.

Colossians 2:16 (KJV)  Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

From today you are from condemnation

WHAT IS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS AUTHORITY

1. To preach the gospel
Mark 16:20 (KJV)  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

2. To chase devils away
By this authority you carry, any devil you meet, will now to you.
In your office
In your home
In your business
May they lose grip of such ground in the Name of Jesus

Romans 10:8 KJV The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

The word is nigh thee
Speak the word

3. To heal the sick
You are the one that releases the grace. It is God. Speak the word.

4. To be able to rule over the devil
James 4:7 (KJV)  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

You carry such authority and anointing
My prayer is that from now henceforth your life will be a threat to the kingdom of darkness

THE SCOPE OF THE AUTHORITY

Ephesians 1:19-21 (KJV)  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

You are as powerful as anyone who delegated the authority to you.

Any time you stand, Jesus is standing with you.
The authority you carry makes the enemy under your feet.

Ephesians 1:22 (KJV)  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

If Jesus is the Head of the Church and we are members of that body, we are above them all and they are under our feet.

Ephesians 2:4-6 (KJV)  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

We are sitting in heavenly places.
If He is seated at the right hand of the father, we are with him

The same power that God wrought when He raised Jesus from death, is the same power that resides in us

The moment you make Jesus Lord of your life, that same power is exercised in you.

HOW DO I MANIFEST THIS AUTHORITY
1. By the WORD OF GOD
Hebrews 1:3 (KJV)  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

If He upholds everything by the word, the same power is in us

2. His Name
Luke 10:17 (KJV)  And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

The Name is the Authority.
We are already standing in his authority

Acts 3:6 (KJV)  Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

The same Name is available to us
That situation that seems stagnant
That business that is crippling, receives power to rise in the name of Jesus.

In the contest between David and Goliath, Goliath cursed David by his gods and David cane against him by the Name of God. It became a battle of gods.

3. The Holy Ghost
Acts 1:8 (KJV)  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

4. FAITH
Mark 4:35-40 (KJV)  And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

Your faith does not need to be like those of the Apostles but like a mustard seed

HOW DO I EXERCISE THIS AUTHORITY
1. Understand that you are a child of God

Galatians 4:1 (KJV)  Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth
nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

2. Cast out devils

3. Be intentional
Confront any situation confronting you

4. Believe, live and walk in the spirit

5. Engage in spiritual exercise.
Engage in prayers and fasting. It makes tremendous powers available
Prayer generates power.
If you can engage in the spiritual exercise of prayers, you will be able to defeat all the things that confront you

6. Speak the mind of God through the Holy Spirit
There was darkness in Genesis 1 and God said: LET THERE  BE LIGHT
In place of lack, speak provisions and supply
in place of death, speak life

WHY ARE WE NOT MANIFESTING THE AUTHORITY?
1. Believers are ignorant
Galatians 4:1 (KJV)  Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

From the A person is born into a royal family, he becomes a prince. You are not ordinary. 

2. Some believers don’t believe. They are of the opinion that it is an exclusive preserve of the Pastors 

Acts 3:6 (KJV)  Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

They will change their minds about you
May situatuons and circumstances honour you
The traffic of demons will submit to your command in the Name of Jesus

3. Laziness and weakness
A man who does not use the power he has is weak
Don’t run from the devil. Resist him!

Demons trembles at your presence
What a mighty God we serve
Glory glory hallelujah
Everything written about you is great

PRAYER
Is there anything threatening the peace of any member of this Church, by this prayer we threaten them

Everything coming our way that you are not sanctioned.
Any flaming arrow satan has released to any member of this congregation, we destroy it and  speak healing

Sickness, you are cursed tonight
We release the Word of healing

Adversity in Progress – Pst Ezekiel Udo

2 Kings 6:1-5 (KJV)  And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.
Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.
And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.
So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.
But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.

When we are trying to move forward, most times we have adversity on the way. Something that wants to bring us down

Sometimes we may try to stop ourselves, but it is the enemy trying to hinder us.
Despite all the persecutions God is always there to help us out.

This is the story of Elisha, the man of God. Where they were was too small and they decided to make progress.
Many times we also try to make progress and become hindered by situations

While they were cutting the beam, the axe head fell and they ran to the master
Today we may not have whom to run to.physically when faced with challenges but we have someone we can always run to who is in heaven.  That person is Jesus.
Elisha could intervene by asking where the axe head fell and a miracle took place

It is a well known fact that iron cannot float, but it did!
The God who did it for them can also do it for us. All we have to do is to look up to him. We have to think about all He has been doing in tomes past.
We all as Christians have experienced God’s intervention at various times. We need only to remind Him of his past miracles anbeniracles will take place

The Bible says, anywhere He went, He aas doing good. Don’t be discouraged. Remain a Chtistian because He has a special interest in those who fear Him.
I pray that you will remain in His love and you will never be discouraged in the Name of Jesus.

PRAYER
I don’t know what is the axe head in your life:
Overdued loans, ill health
Whatever it is, God Is there and HE WILL CAUSE THE AXE HEAD TO SWIM BECAUSE OF YOU.

It is bad enough if both husband and wife are staff members of the university with no salaries for months, or where the only bread winner of the family is also not receiving salaries
If we have a little faith like a mustard seed, that axe head will float! Yes it will float in the Name of Jesus

Mary was told as a virgin that she will conceive. She believed but asked a question, How can this be? She did not doubt. She merely asked for explanations

Zechariah asked the same question but with doubt in his heart.
He asked like Sarah.
Mary asked for explanations without doubting.
Yoday God is saying that axe head will swim. Do you believe?
If you do, there shall lbe a performance in the Name of Jesus

We may be avoiding people.now because of debts and inability to pay back.

My axe head will swim in the name of Jesus

The Principles of Honour – Bishop Martins Pelemo

Father we join the host of heaven to say you are worthy
You gathered us here for a purpose and it shall be fulfilled.
Whatever we have come before you to request, we will receive it and none of us shall be stranded at the end of this service  in the Name of Jesus.

When we celebrate your man of God, things will work even without his knowledge.

2 Chronicles 20:20 (KJV)  And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

In the history of Penticostalism, CGMI started it. Today many churches are doing it and amazingly, they are doing it better than us.

I am passionate about Pastors, particularly the ones in the rural areas, because I started pastoring from a village and I know there are Pastors in this Ministry who, at the end of one month, their earnings is less than #10,000.00

I pray that at the end of this service, God will:
– Break protocols to take someone to where he or she does not qualify,
– connect someone to a connector that cannot be disconnected
– Make 17 persons here to become champions!

The knowledge you have is the seed for transformation
Productivity and value is the seed for financial transformation

Be productive in all you do. This is the seed for financial breakthrough.

Honour is about some basic principles in life
Many people believe seeding is all about money

There are people who do not copy notes but only need to sit inside the class and they pass well.
– Listening proceeds learning.

– knowledge proceeds transformation

The knowledge you have makes you talk and others listen to you

One of the ways to be productive is to sit down and make your man of God pray for you
Honour is the seed for Access!

Honour is a not just a ladder! Honour is a lift!
Honour is the seed that catapults a man
When you honour your man of God, it can give you access.

1 Samuel 2:30 (KJV)  Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

There are things you do for the kingdom that provokes God

Malachi 1:6 (KJV)  A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?

A lecturer threatened one of my daughters who truly honours me. I simply told her, he will not be there when your scripts will be marked. Unfortunately, he died within that period.?? . I did not wish him dead but If anyone will die for you to move God, then the person will have to die because you honour and believe the man of God.

Don’t be too familiar to miss the blessings of the anointing.

When was the last time you rose up to seek the blessings of the man of God?

Psalms 89:20-25 (KJV)  I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
But my faithfulne and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

It is not about your efforts and abilities or qualifications, but about the grace that is backing you up.

Profit means someone is getting back what he put in
It is getting out of life what was out in.

From Adam to Jesus, to Peter, to Benson Idahoda, and even you, profiting is part of Gods, design for life

When He gave us his word and at any time that He gives us His word. He has given it to us to profit from it.

“Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Paul says: I am handing you over to God and to the works of His grace

• The work of grace will edify and build you.
• The Word of God is spiritual and cannot be understood by the carnal mind.
• A man can teach the Bible without being born again.
  In Israel, men study the Bible to be able to explain to tourists, without more

With the word of God, we can handle anything!
The word of God does not only build one up, but it gives a man an inheritance amongst those who are sanctified.
It gives you a voice

In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The word is God and He was there from the beginning

John 1:3 KJV Through him all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made.

The word is a creator
When God said let there be light, the word went into action

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

You compare spiritual with spiritual
Any time we are speaking the word, we are speaking grace. This is why it is difficult for a believer to live in sin.

Colossians 1:14‭-‬16 NIV
in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

If you want to see God, you see the word
We can only understand God by the Spirit, and not through religious teachings.

Stop trying to understand God by your human reasoning

The word is a CREATIVE AGENT
God’s word can create your tomorrow
This is why we must be careful of what we think and say.

Our words are powerful.

Are not the blessings of God, but the outcome of the blessings
The blessings of God are spiritual things.

We may have millions in an account but have no money in our pockets because we have either not gone to the bank or visited the ATM
We are blessed men and carry the blessings.

If you want to fight the devil, take the battle away from his comfort zones. He is a coward and an idiot!

Most times we arrogate to the devil, powers that he does not have.
He went to Jesus with the scriptures…It is written!

Jesus had the power to turn those stones into bread, but he did not. We have nothing to prove to the devil who has already been defeated.
Jesus countered him with the word. He took the battle into the realm of the spirit because the word of God is spirit

What makes the word of God we speak spiritual is because we are in the spirit
What makes the word from the unbeliever carnal is because he is carnal..

What determines what the world is, is through the vessel which the word came out from.

If called to produce 10 scriptures in five minutes, will you be able to make it flow?
If the enemy attacks you, will you be able to counter him with scriptures?

If you have a need, tell God the way it is.
Prayers are not answered by the sophistication of words or prayer points.

It is the man God is interested in, not the volume of words.

Whenever you receive a Rhema, write it down!

The written word is the one you write down

The inspired word is one that the holy spirit inspires in you

The word of God is the basis for restoration, demand, and healing, etc
God’s word is the manual
It is the basis.

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Your life
Your business
Your career can be formed by the word of God. Frame God’s word by the works of your hands.
As you do so, there would be an inspiration in your heart that will bring you results.

Search for the word

Desire it.
It is the food that you eat that determines the results

Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.

Every Christian Is Called to STAND OUT
A Christian is one who has surrendered his life to Jesus and when Jesus begins to work in him, He STANDS OUT.

The primary call of a believer is to STAND OUT
If you do not stand out, you are not different from the rest.

Matthew 5:13 (KJV)  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Ungodly men are very comfortable to walk with you because your life does not challenge them in anyway

OTHERS MAY!
– Cheat in an examination
– Be your boy or girl friend
– Tell a phone lie
OTHERS MAY, BUT I CANNOT

The Kings dainty meals were too inviting, but Daniel had already told himself he will not defile himself with the King’s meat.
Not because it was wrong to eat he special meals but there was a process that they were first offered to idols

To STAND OUT, you must take a decision

I don’t know what you are, you must first of all things. To stand out, you must do the following which has been tagged the 3 Ds:

1. TAKE A DECISION
Take a decision daily for Christ, to go the way of the Lord
If you are just basking in the euphoria of today’s Christianity, you will not stand out

2. BE DETERMINED to EXCELL
Decision is different from. Determination
The prodigal.son came to a.point in hisnlig where he had to take a decision and determined to go to the father.
He didn’t care what others will think. He went back and wanted to be regarded as a servant, not a son.

Daniel 6:3 (KJV)  Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; andthe king thought to set him over the whole realm.the king thought to set him over the whole realm.the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

DANIEL stood out acadenically
DANIEL stood out spiritually
.DANIEL stood out intellectually
DANIEL stood out with wisdom above others.

Joseph was another man who stood out and even had to forgo his coat in the process and went to prison for doing nothing wrong. 
Others May, not I.

He became an outstanding leader in Egypt

3. Daniel DEPENDED on God
As you match out, you must decide to depend to God
God makes you outstanding in academics because this is not the last wrung of your academic life.

He allowed God to rule in his life
He knew that he could not get nothing without God. He depended on God to.interprete the dream.

Daniel 6:5 (KJV)  Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

They knew he was a God addict
The impact of his prayers were felt even without his broadcasting it.

The Bible says the King could not sleep because there was a Daniel in the lion’s den!

Daniel 6:18-20 (KJV)  Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.
And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

No leader will rest until you are rescued in the Name of Jesus.

STEPS TO TAKE TO STAND OUT
Romans 12:2 (KJV)  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1. Do not conform
Colossians 3:2 (KJV)  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

The best thing to give a Child is Christ, not clothes and even phones.

2. Dwell on God’s word continually

Joshua 1:8 (KJV)  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

3. Keep yourself where God’s love will reach you

Job 1:20-21 (KJV)  Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Every Christian is threat to the kingdom.of darkness.

.4. Watch unto prayers
Daniel and his friends had faith in God and were not afraid of the King’s decree, because they knew the God in heaven who could deliver them.
It did not matter to them if God decided not to save them

They knew that they were not on their own
The King saw 4 men
When you decide, God will stand by you and will he’ll and strengthen you.

When the storms come, look away from it

While Peter looked on Jesus, he walked on the sea, when he took off his eyes from Jesus, he began to sink

Make up your mind to follow Jesus.

I have decided to follow Jesus;

When you stand for Jesus, He gave you the grave to resist every manipulation of the enemy

In life there is nothing you do that you are not committed to, that will succeed
We fail in our careers and businesses because we are not committed to them.
Most Churches fail because the Pastors are not committed.

Success in life is hinged on how committed you are to it

Success is beyond acquisition of money but on how you have kept your family, business and it is still going forward.

In Africa we equate money with success but success is about fulfillment

Success should be defined in having began, still moving forward and in achieving my dreams

You may have made more money, but that does not make anyone else less successful
You may have made a First Class and the other a Second Class Lower, but you all graduated. The first Class Degree does not men you will be the most successful person.

Life is a race
Life is journey
Never give up on yourself.
You may be at the back but still push on
You may feel bad, but it should be a motivation to move forward
If feeling bad makes you give up, then it is bad

1 Corinthians 16:15 (KJV)  I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

An addict is someone who is committed to a cause to the extent that the cause begins to control him.

1 Corinthians 16:16-17 (KJV)  That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.

You must be committed to only serious persons and things.
Many people who fail attach and align themselves with failures like themselves.
If you associate with failures, no amount of fasting and prayers can help you.

Jeremiah 35:2-10 (KJV) Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.
Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;

The Prophet asked the Rechabites to drink wine but they refused because they were under a covenant.

2 Kings 2:1-3 (KJV)  And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.
And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

Elisha was committed to Elijah and chose to follow him to the end..
The sons of the Prophet ridiculed him but he was committed to following his Master.

If you are committed to a cause,  don’t let anyone dissuade you.

Commitment is following a particular cause and doing everything to achieve it

There is a difference between being committed to a cause and pursuing a failed business

If a business is failing, a time comes when you have to learn a new thing

Connittment is a single minded devotion for a cause

Jesus said I must be about my father’s business
You must not be distracted by anything or circumstances

Committment drives you to being diligent. It keeps you on your toes

Proverbs 22:29 (KJV)  Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Commitment is a trigger for achievement

Don’t give up. If the vehicle of achieving your dreams is not working, you step out and take another vehicle

Commitment means doing what it rightfully takes

So what if it fails…?
So what if it succeeds?
What if Goliath kills David?
The God who gave David the heads of the lions and bears will.also give him the head of Goliath

We serve a God who is a maker.
With God there is no end. Every end with God is a new beginning.

Commitment  is based on convictions.

Conviction cones from the strong inner voice

One of the greatest enemy of success is time and circumstances

Stop seeing the circumstances, see the vision.

God told Moses to go and get the Israelites out of Egypt.
Most times when God sends you on an errand, He spares you the details.
God did not tell him of all the ppestilences and wars along the road.

When you are sure that God has your back, He knows and is watching, He will not allow your troubles to weigh you down, then you can move forward.

God planted the garden but Adam had to tend it.
If you tend it and dress it well, it will produce well.

Learn something new.
You cannot succeed in the 21st century with the 18th Century weapon.

You must take responsibility for your actions.
Don’t blame people for your mistakes.

Commitment inspires creativity

Develop yourself. When you do, work will look for you.
The devil is afraid of people with their minds filled with creativity.

A time comes to reduce the level.of spending and eating to save money for something good or great

You must not wear every asebi that is in town!

Ecclesiastes 9:10-12 (KJV)  Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Time and chance happens. This is when God looks at the direction of a man.

Luke 18:35-42 (KJV) And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

Jesus was returning to Jericho after a programme and blind Bathemaus was by the wayside begging and when he heard the noise, he inquired to know what was happening. He must have heard so much about Jesus and decided that He will not pass him by that day

That things are difficult does not mean it is impossible
If he was not blind, he would have ran to him but he was limited by his sight

Whatever has hindered and limited you from your miracles and breakthroughs are broken today in the Name of Jesus.

His name Bathemaus the son of Timaus
Blindness became his identity
Whatever jas given you a negative identity, God will change that story of mockery today
God will give you a testimony that will terminate every insult in the Name If Jesus.

I don’t know what label men have given you in your family, place of work, what has made you a byword
God saw that mockery
God sees the mockery
He will change your story and give you a testimony in the Name of Jesus

If someone can cry out to Jesus, God will hear you

Grace means God’s pity.

Psalms 103:13 (KJV)  Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

It is God’s forbearance and patience for his children.
When a man does not serve his punishment which he deserves, what he is not qualified for, this is God’s mercy

Mercy releases mercy we do not qualify for.

Blind Bathemaus was obviously in the programme of Jesus that day, he was not equallified for that attention but mercy qualified him
May God have mercy on you today

The mercy of God granted us salvation and qualified us to come boldly to his throne

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

1. He had faith he refused to shut up.

2.He refused to give up.

Job 14:14 (KJV)  If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

3. He discarded all negativity
The doctors report notwithstanding, God will shock someone and Give HIMSELF a name. There is nothing our God cannot do.

Who told you those negative reports and forgotten or thrown away the word of God.

4. He told God whatt he wanted.
Sometimes we grumble, mummur and complain instead of praying
What do you want God to do for you?
He sees and knows but wants you to ask.

You may want a new job
You may want admission for your child

Your faith must have an object it is acting on.

Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

What makes you wet your bed at night, may God change the story of your family

There is a God that can compress times and seasons
May the waymaker make a way for you and your family.that sickness that has ailed you for long, may God touch you at the point of your needs in the Name of Jesus.

Whatever veil has been used to cover their faces, let the veil covering them be torn  in the Name of Jesus.

Our daughters will not remain in their fathers houses and bear their father’s name
We release them from their fathers’ houses
Let the light of your contenance shine on their faces in the Name of Jesus
Show then mercy
Let the mercies of God speak for you
I remove your names from the waiting list and I settle you in your homes
He has given you beauty for ashes.i release the favour of God upon you
You will be looked upon favourably

Favours in their businesss and careers
Every time in their fathers hiss thatbhave stopped them,
Every hindrance, Jesus nailed you at the cross…
Families where daughters Re still single, today we break the yoke
We force the doors to open
We hear the sound of celebrations in their homes in the Name of Jesus, and so shall it be in the Name of Jesus

For as many who are sick in their bodies…
Jesus make you whole now
You are made whole in the Name of Jesus.

Understanding Divine Direction (2) -Rev. Onisoshene Shedrack Charles

Jesus met a woman at the well and she told him. our fathers used to worship in these mountains, Jesus told her now is when true worshippers will worship the father in spirit and truth

I pray that the time has come when every believer will hear and understand God’s voice

Sometimes we hear but do not understand;
Sometimes we hear and are confused’;
Sometimes we hear what our circumstances are saying to us;
But the voice of God comes, may it be unmistaken in the Name of Jesus.

Isaiah 30:21 (KJV)  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

May someone go back home today and desire to hear God speak clearly like he or she hears the Pastor or a woman her husband

Divine direction is specific.
God will not give you direction and it is vague
Sometimes we want to use our knowledge to understand God’s direction
Walking in the spirit is an act of faith.
God ask Abram to leave his Father’s house and he departed to an unknown address. He did not ask for the address or destination before leaving. God may have dumped him and used another person
Elijah told God I am the only one remaining, God said No, there are 7000 that have not kissed Baal. If you misbehave, He can use someone else

Habakkuk 2:1-4 (KJV)  I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

It means he was expectant and ready to hear God concerning every situation

Job 32:8 (KJV) But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Every time a man does the will of God, God comes out! The inspiration of God is the connection.

In verse 2 He desires to wait
You cannot be expectant, ready, willing, open-hearted and God will not speak!
Before you write the vision in verse 2, there is a Verse 1 being ready to hear God first.

When the city was burnt and David’s wives were taken hostage, he sought the face of God to pursue, and God responded, pursue overtake and without fail recover all

When David pursued, he did so with confidence to come back with results.
The assurance of hearing God’s voice is unparalleled.

Habakkuk 2:4 (KJV)  Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

You must have faith that He will always speak and not doubt.
God is ready to offer directions to those willing to be led.

You must be willing to hear and be atune to heaven’s frequency.
You must be a friend of God and should always service that relationship
In praise and worship, we come into a frequency to bring God to inhabit the praises of His people.

The Voice of the Lord is the master key to living a life of distinction
Deafness to his word is the cause of many disasters

John 10:27 (KJV) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

He calls us sheep, not Goats.

Romans 8:14 (KJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

UNDERSTANDING DIVINE DIRECTION

1. The first qualification isbthat You must be BORN AGAIN

Isaiah 43:17 (KJV) Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.

He teaches us to be profitable

2. You must WALK IN THE SPIRIT John 16:16 (KJV) A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

The spirit of truth is the Holy Spirit

• He teaches us to profit. As a Child of God, the spirit of God guides us

No man can be spirit conscious and living in sin.
If you are conscious of the indwelling of the spirit, overcoming sin becomes a walk-over.
The God who dwells inside of you makes you God-conscious.

John 3:3 (KJV) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Man fell at the garden and lost his place.
Be conscious of His presence dwelling in you always

3. If you want to hear from God, Love Him

When you love a person, you will not want to hurt him.
Your love is made manifest in your attitude

4. Be willing to be led

Abraham walked before God and was willing to sacrifice his son
It is one thing for God to lead you and another for you to be led
The ones he has instructed in times past you have refused to listen
You must be willing to be led
Willingness to be led requires a lot of meekness

God showed the Israelites his acts, but to Moses, He showed His hands.
Don’t follow God methodologically. Follow him in the spirit
When you love God He breaks protocols for you
It was forbidden to enter the tabernacle or be killed, but Joshua followed Moses inside and was not killed. Why did God not kill Joshua?

5. Learn to be quiet
This quietness is an inner quietness.

Many cannot hear because the spirit is filled with so much noise and distractions, making their frequency always jam.
Sometimes the spirit mind is so dirty.
Learn to have a quiet Spirit

A noisy spirit cannot relate with the still small voice
The still small voice is the commonest way God relates with us.
Sometimes God refuses to answer us because He wants us to hear Him.

God is a spirit. Learn to create quietness in your spirit so you can hear Him

HOW CAN I KNOW IT IS FROM GOD?
Romans 8:26 (KJV)  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

1. Does it conform with the word of God?
If it fails the word of God test then it is not from God. God’s word is the surest way to divine guidance.
Yes, the devil quoted scriptures to Jesus…Turn these stones to become bread. God did not tell us to turn stones into bread. Learn to compare scriptures with scriptures
God speaks
Satan speaks
Circumstannces speak

You cannot teach someone to hear God. You just know it. Seek illumination.

2. It comes with peace
Divine guidance and peace are like twins.
If you lose your sleep over something you thought was God. Watch it. Don’t jump into it
You can seek guidance from people who know. However, your inner decision is better than what anyone tells you the state of the inner man defines what happens to the body

3. It brings an inner strength
Gideon was not a soldier, and was threshing corn to hide it from the Medianites. In the place of his weakness, God met him there
Moses said I am.a stamerer
If God is choosing you in the place of your weakness, it means He already has the solution.

You become confident

4. God’s voice brings Joy
For some, the initial response to hearing God is joy. When doubts sets in, we sometimes reason and reason out the spirit.
All you need to say is HERE AM I LORD!
Even when the assignment is difficult, joy follows

5. Divine direction brings liberty

2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV)  Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Provision and favour comes, if God is leading you, He will sponsor his word.

Everyone hears God’s voice. We are only hindered when we do not hear Him

He is speaking
It is a friendship
It is an ongoing thing
It is a normal thing
That is how it is.
He speaks to us as a man speaks to His friend.

PRAYER
I pray that God will open your ears to hear him
I pray that the relationship will blossom and grow in the Name of Jesus
