Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
This is Jesus’ teaching on how we should relate with our acclaimed enemies.
God is not a man that He should lie and every word He says is true. Here, Jesus admonishes us to Love our enemies!
The truth is that 90% of believers only love their friends and despise their enemies . Today God is asking us in practical terms, to love our enemies. The teaching of CHRIST is so simple that it appears as foolishness to the unbelievers. Today we patronize those we have high expectations of and not the lowly placed.
We do not show love to the lowly people because we have expectations that they will not ne able to favour us.
This is why calls are made to remind people that they had attended your occasion and so it is now their turns. The people to give are the less privileged!
If you refuse to assist, will you have the boldness to ask for assistance when you are in need? Put differently, The question is:
When you are in need and what you need is in the hands of your acclaimed enemy, will you be able to receive it?
May God help us in the Name of Jesus
Any gift that is not sacrificial is not a gift. Any love that is not sacrificial is no love!
Lord give me the grace to be a giver!
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Luke 6:38 (KJV) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Whatever seed you sow in the life of another, whether money, time, energy, whatever… the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
The God who multiplied the fishes and loaves will multiply us as we seed into the lives of others in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
There is a story behind every glory and before you see the GLORY, be careful how you treat the STORY.
I was born into a Baptist family and Sunday service was compulsory. One Sunday in 1983, I left service for unknown reasons and went home. I turned on the Television and saw a man in white flowing Agbada preaching. I was captivated and watched till the end. At the end of the message, his details and address were scrolled down and I copied it. That became the begining of change in my life.
I wrote to him severally and received replies. In.one of his mails he uncluded a message: ‘Come to Benin. I want to see you in person’. I ran to my mother excitedly to share the goodnews. She began to cry nd said: “The Benin man wants to use my son for ritial”.I became so discouraged and never watched the programe again. This happened in 1984.
In 1985 I returned home from School and met a poster that Benson Idahosa was coming to Port Harcourt and the crusade was holding in my street. All the fears vanished. I began to think of how I will convince my mother and grand mother to be allowed to attend the crusade. Then I remembered that my grand-mother was bent over. So I went to her and said: “I know someone who can heal you if you follow me this evening”. She did. While we were sone 400 metres away from the house, I saw that the crowd had already overflowed by about 300 metres. People were on roof tops and tree tops. I WAS DETERMINED TO MEET THAT MAN THAT DAY.
When I am determined to do something, not even the crowd or devil can stop him. I was just 14years then. I pushed through the crowd and when he made an altar call, I was standing infront of him. At the end of that crusade, My gramd mother who was bent over stood straight. The miracles I used to see on television came live in my eyes. MAY WHAT YOU HAVE SEEN FAR AWAY BE EVIDENCE IN YOUR LIFE IN THE NAME OF JESUS. At the end of that crusade. My entire family became members of CGMI.
Today we celebrate an Icon and pacesetter. If you have ever heard that God raised and used a man….that man is BENSON IDAHOSA.
Sometime ago at Faith Arena…a woman rushed in and threw her dead baby on the Altar.ALL OF A SUDDEN.. the Archbishop called for his water, prayed over it and poured it on the corpse… and the baby came back to life.
There was also this mad man who used to roam the streets…. Many thought the miracles were stage-managed. This mad man was was healed and it silenced all the critics.
May God give you a miracle that will silence all your critics and haters. Today we are celebrating a man who stopped the meeting of witches in Nigeria and in his own State. He took and believed Benin City to be his own State.
May God give you something to own and defend. The witches said: ‘Even God cannot stop the meeting”. He replied: “GOD DOES NOT NEED TO BOTHER, BENSON IDAHOSA IS HERE!” Tell yourself I AM HERE!
Let the troubles of life and your city know that you are here!. Many believers do not know their authority in Christ. Today we spend hours at night praying against witches and wizards!
He said to the presenter on National Television “…if this man is a witch, I kill him.now.”
He then asked the man: “Are you a witch?” He replied “No“. He therefore announced that since the Head of witches has denied being a witch, that meeting shall not hold. He called the then Head of State and the Meeting was cancelled from holding in Nigeria. He did many things that men considered IMPOSSIBLE. He was the first person to open a private university in Nigeria. The Christian Faith University, now Benson idahosa University … based on God”s instruction.
You may be made small by circumstances and authorities, but in your mind, think big and improve on yourself.
Your God is not a small God. DON’T let any man put you down as being small. The battles of life are fought and won on the mind The Mind is the battle ground of the spirit. If you lose the war in your mind, you have lost it everywhere
It is not in the Bible you may say…but I am reading a new book to you…The book of BENSON IDAHOSA. This auditorium is the evidence that Benson Idahosa came, saw and conquered In his words: I was made in heaven, assembled in Nigeria and dispatched to the whole world.
He was not a man to hide from trouble, but one that confronted trouble. When God sends you, no devil or trouble can stop you!
A decree went out during the military regime against open air crusades…He asked God WHERE NEXT? GOD SAID LAGOS. 50,000 fliers were printed and he choose Tafawa Balewa Square near Dodan Barrack and the crusade held. God shot the mouth of the decree maker. May God silence all your enemies!
After that he asked God again…WHERE NEXT? God said Kaduna. He invited Reinhard Boonke and miracles took place. Are you satisfied with where you are? It is time to ask God: WHERE NEXT?
When you have issues, it is time to go to God and not to prayer books. Sometimes God can give you inspirations and can direct you on what to do.

We are already in the Missions Week. The week we remember the Life and Times of our Founding Archbishop and remembering the legacies of Late Archbishop Benson Idahosa.
The Theme for this month is Making Christ KnownEVERYWHERE
Mark 16:15 (KJV) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Archbishop Benson Idahosa lived the gospel he preached. He took the gospel ruggedly to every part of the world.
We have a testimony how a traffic jam prevented Archbishop Benson Idahosa from reaching a crusade ground and how he turned the traffic to a crusade ground.
Acts 19:1-22 (KJV)And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? This is a very major aspect of the scripture, which speaks of a man who was souled out to preach the gospel and letting Christ known EVERYWHERE.
The Apostle asked them: Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
The baptism of the holy spirit has to be by the spirit of God. We must have patience to reason the scriptures.
No one can give what he does not have. Until your heart is full of Christ, you cannot make Him known EVERYWHERE.
“And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded”.
These sons of the Prophets did not know Jesus personally! They only knew Jesus whom Paul preaches!
Matthew 7:22-23 (KJV) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
This means it is possible to win souls and still not be justified before God!
Jesus did not say to those on his right I don’t know you. He said I never knew you!
The Bible says IF ANY MAN BE IN CHRIST!
Philippians 3:7-10 (KJV) But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
HOW DO I KNOW HIM?

We must know him. Nothing should make us puffed up. Apostle Paul knew him inspite of being à Jewish scholar
Have you lost touch with Christ? You may have lost touch with him, You can tell when you are not pleasing God that sonething is wrong somewhere and God is not exited with you….
Until you know Jesus, you camnot make him known EVERYWHERE
If your act does not reflect CHRIST, YOU HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO
HOW DO YOU MAKE CHRIST KNOWN?
1. By your testimony
2. By preaching the gospel (CHRIST died for our sakes and was buried. He rose up again for our justifications.

4. Give God all the glory. Nevet arogate any glory to yourself
Miracles authenticate the gospel
PRAYERS
Father enpower me. Give me grace to make Christ known everywhere. Necessary is upon me to make Christ Known everywhere. Spirit of God help me to make Him known EVERYWHERE
As your people partake in your broken body, their bodies will never be broken in the Name of Jesus. Amen
As they drink your blood, let your blood speak for them in the Name of Jesus!
Whatever you have not planted in their bodies, let it be uprooted.
I speak health and healing upon your people Lord. Let there be speedy recoveries let the grace that flows from the communion be upon them! Thank you Father. We pray with thanksgiving in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

There is a story behind the glory of men. Jesus does not go where He is not invited. INVITE JESUS INTO YOUR LIFE.
If Jesus is in your boat, you will stay calm inspite of the storms.
What is a wedding without wine! Have you run out of wine in your life, marriage carrer or business?
Have you run out of wine? What must be done
1.Don’t give up. Something is about to happen.
When very successful persons commit suicide…it is because they have run out of wine! Today, if there be someone who has run out of wine…to him that is joint to all the living, there is hope. A living dog is better than a dead lion. If you can invite Jesus into that situation, there is hope
2. Talk to Jesus About it
And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine…
Jesus can colapse and compress time for your sake. The mother turned it to Jesus. If you turn it to Jesus, He is able to turn it around. JESUS IS ABLE AND AVIALABLE to change that situation and turn things around for your sake
We have a powerful God. There’s no situation he cannot change and what he cannot do.
3. Don’t take no for an answer

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
You may not have their qualifications; connections or meet their standard, God can keep someone to speak for you where you cannot speak for yourself.
Where your legs and connections cannot take you to, May God do it.for you.
God is still in the business of changing lives.
God can change and shift systems and policies for the sake of His children.
Don’t take “NO” for an answer, still go again and trust God. . There is nothing God CANNOT do. In your business and career, new wine is springing up. What you thought cannot happen, God will make it happen in the Name of Jesus.
4. When you come to JESUS, come by Faith.
Hebrews 11:1, 6 (KJV)Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
5. Whatever he says to you, do it. Every miracle God does has a God factor and a human factor. Whatever God says to you, do it
6. There is a story behind every glory. GOD is not a magician, He is a MIRACLE WORKER. He does it little by little little by little…I see you growing, I see you expanding from the left to the rigjt in the Name of Jesus.
You are about to change so drastically that you will no longer recognize yourself.
You may not look like glory today. You are just emerging. You are just transforning…because there is a story behind the glory!
…Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now….
No one knows when there was no hope..
…when you were ordinary water, empty…
…when there were no food or clothes to wear…
…when you were ridiculed and embarrassed.
TODAY, they see glory…but there was a story… someone is going through his story today…but there is glory. You are going through a process. If you can hold on to Jesus…HELP WILL COME.
CAN YOU HOLD ON TO JESUS?
IT WILL END IN PRAISE!.

God has kept the good wine until now..
You may not know how, but God will fo it again. Your beginning may be small…He has kept the good wine until now because your best days are ahead of you. I see increase and shining at the end. Hold on, there is sweet wine
PRAYERS
Lord I believe there is good wine coming. THANK YOU FOR your promises ….Lord like Peter, we will SAY NEVERTHELESS at thy word! I come against depression. I DECREE liftings and deliverances from every pit. I speak promotions, elevations , salavation and answers. Thank you Father because we see glory tomorrow. Be it unto us according to your word and to you be all glory and praises in the Name of Jesus. AMEN.
God is always willing and ready, but He works with timing. He ministers to us to know the divine timing and we pray and prepare towards God will do for you.
A trader who trades with raincoats, umbrellas and rain boots should understand that the rainy season ends at a particular time and he should prepare for something else. Wisdom tells you that you must understand the seasons of life.
Also in Church, the move of God is in seasons. As a Church we must be conscious of the seasons God is taking us through, so that we do not remain where God has already moved. Unless you move with God, you will be lacking behind. This is the reason why many believers struggle in life.
Church Growth starts from inside.
The biggest obstacle to Church or business growth, is when large number of people leave the church or business without people coming in.
One thing about a Church is that people will always leave whether for good or bad reasons. This is very normal.
For us to grow, we are working to ensure that the number that go is reduced to the barest minimum. This is closing the back door. Every door has a front door and a back door. The front door is where people come in and the back door is where people leave from. Even in businesses, there could be leakages which eats both the profit and capital.
HOW TO CLOSE THE BACK DOOR
1. Remove thething that make people leave.
2. Organize around the tbings that retain people
TO REMOVE THE OBSTACLE OF LARGE NUMBER OF PERSONS LEAVING THE CHURCH
1. Make a decision to grow – GROWTH in influence, prayer life, spiritually, financially, numerically, by impact begining from our Jerusalem etc.
2. All hands must be on deck. It starts from the leadership.
3. Create a simple mission statement that allows the community to gather around the common goal/vision. Vision comes with resources.
3. Refuse programmes that distracts from your overall strategy. Our programme must be channels towards bringing GROWTH and we should not be involved in everything.
4. Put energy into our youth and children ministry. To appeal to young people, do not appear haphazard or disorganized. Help them to feel confident in your ability to love and minister to them.
5. Invest in small groups. This includes the choir. I will love to see all the choirs sing together. The Church that merges young and old together is the Church I want to build. All the small groups must be invested in for creativity and dynamism, and the Church will grow. A church that grows is a Church that attracts outsiders. Here ownership is fostered and no matter what happens, people remain, no matter the hurt and challenges. Leaders are identified and trained in the smaller groups.
6. Get people involved faster. Growing up in Church requires people to be spiritually strong. This is good but may not be the best. People grow along. Jesus called disciples by the seaside. We will identify and get people involved faster It will be a conscious effort to ease them into certain groups and get them involved. We must be properly organized.
7. Livestream Services We are already doing that. We will ensure that the livestream experiences are captivating and attractive. It is about the effect the media can bring in to make it exciting. The content should be creative enough to make people want to return. Inspiring songs and clips from choir ministrations can be used to make It continue to stay attractive.
8. Promote Congregational Stories on Social.Media. Some of the testimonies are good enough to go online and it improves our viewing experiences . It is our season, But we need to do more.
9. Communicate cleanly via signages, flex, fliers, etc We will Let the people know we are here. We have to constantly and regularly be in the faces of the people
10. Be Passionate. It is not resources that brings vision. Passion beats polish. Packaging is not everything. It is amazing how Church leaders are relaxed. Be passionate.
11. Communicate Your Vision. Not just within the Church but to outsiders too. Is this marketing? Exactly! Even Jesus marketed the kingdom and we must be ready to communicate.
It is impossible to overstate the vision of the Church. In your business what is your vision? In your life, where do you want to get to.? In your marriage, what is your vision and how are you planing to achieve it? If you do not dream big dreams for your church, who will? There is no gate we cannot take. There is no place we cannot enter! Dream big dreams and let God finance it!
12. Avoid in fightings infighting have killed more Churches than moral failures. Infighting is the greatest killer of the Church. The infighting that destroys a church is not within members, but between leaders. And as they are fighting, the people leaving the church are the members. As they are leaving, they tell their neighbours!
Infighting kills the physical, while moral failures kill the spiritual .
13. Pay Better Attention to First Time Guests. It is not the job of the follow up team alone, but the work of every leader. Every soul is important.
14. Invite Someone Follow up is what we do at hone and not in Church. Follow up starts after Church.
Conclusion Neither you nor I can make a Chuch grow. Only God can . We will knock down the barriers that hinder church growth in the Name of Jesus
Ephesians 2:10 (KJV) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Lord open my eyes to see the good plans you have for me this season and how I can fit into it.Cause me to walk in understanding.
Ephesians 1:18-19 (KJV) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Lord I need to know the hope of my calling. What is my roll in this dispensation? What have you called me to do at this time? For every season there is an appointment. Open my eyes to see Lord.
Show me my place in the agenda. Open the eyes of my understanding.
Ephesians 6:18 (KJV) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Prayer is the oil of revival and church GROWTH. O Lord revive me. It begins with me.
Help me to realize the need for INCREASE and thatbit is you who gives increase. Reveal this Church and INCREASE us O Lord. This morning we realize our needs for increase.
Send us INCREASE. You are the God thatvgives the rain . We cry out yo you for the rain of INCREASE. We are ready forincrease. We are ready for the explosion Lord in the Name of Jesus
Zechariah 10:1 (KJV) Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
Our Church will also increase in the Name of Jesus .
God is still in the business of growing men.
God hates stagnation. He is seeking for men who will help Him run with the mandate of influence, mandate of growth and increase.
Acts 2:1-3, 5, 41 (KJV) And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
The Church was born in increase. God allowed persecutions for the Church to grow.
Sometimes God can allows us to be persecuted to enable us grow. Sometimes He nudges us to move and we refuse to heed, then He allows us to lose our comfort!
Sometimes God can bring revival of money, increase of membership and marriages.
For a church to grow we need revival in church.
Revival is a fresh inflow of the love, life and power of God
Flowers drop and need to be revived. Sometomes when we have prayed continuously, keep doing what you were doing and soon you will see results.
We need to develop a DEEP BURDEN FOR INCREASE.
Sometines when we have grown to a certain level, we get relaxed. God never relaxes . He wants to beat his yesterday’s record.
Sufficent for yesterday is yesterday’s INCREASE. Church grows, but real growth and conversion only comes through the Hoky Spirit.
For revival to happen, we need God to help us and bring in people. We must come to a point where God has overtaken us and we are trying to catch up with Him.
STEPS THAT LEADS TO INCREASE
1. We must confess our need for INCREASE . Jesus requested His disciples to tarry in Jerusalem till He endued them with power!. The Church shold be led by the holy spirit and its power!
People have needs and the Church is a place where needs are met.
2. ADMIT THE Possibility for INCREASE I want God to shock us with suprises in the city of Uyo.

3. We must recognize the source of INCREASE We must look out for increase. When we look up to God, we get only what GOD can do
4. We must employ the means for securing this success –PRAYERS. This must be passionate believing prayers, knowing that our lives and destiny depend on this. In the place of prayer, we determine what will happen!
5. We must provide the channels for increase – BELIEVERS. We should train people and send people to areas where they are best gifted.
6. We must remove the obstacles for INCREASE . You must till the ground and make it ready to yield . The obstacle to increase sometimes can be what the Pastor, ushers, workers in the Church DO! The obstacles can be US!
The obstacles can be the sound not making the Sound Department not making the sound come out well from the microphone We must work on our fellowship and unity.

Gideon was hiding under an Oak tree to thresh wheat to hide it from the enemy (Medianites) and an Angel appeared to him and addressed Him as a Mighyy man of valour. It means we carry God’s power and DNA in us. We carry God’s mandate.

God is bound by His COVENANT. Like as in the covenant between Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He cannot forget us even though a mother may forget her baby!

As parents we protect children because they bear our names

It means it is only a matter of time, and He will open it! If He did not open yesterday, He will open it today or tomorrow.
