Making Room For Jesus in Your Life -Bishop Sunny Faith Ugbah

Christmas  means many things to different people
To some it is a time to make sales and party, a time for vacation. For us,, it is a time to reflect on the goodness of God.

A time to reflect on the love of God. Some of us may have been.dewd and forgotten of it was not for God

We are the testimonials,  the substance and living epistles of the love of God whose love changed our.lives.

Let us come before Him with a heart of appreciation. Don’t be angry if you were not paid, of you do not have money to celebrate Christmas

It is Christ’s birthday not yours!

When God has given an instruction for your blessings, even the devil can.be compelled to pay your bills!

Don’t waste time analysing whether or not he was born on December 25, just give God the glory!

Luke 2:1-7 NKJV

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.

Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

A manger  is not a hotel, but a feeding place for animals.

There was no available place for Jesus! Joseph  and Mary did not protest

1. THEY MADE THE BEST OUT OF WHAT WAS AVAILABLE

How far are you willing to go for God?

This is because they had other battles to fight

Whatever you are going through is not permanent
God will cause you to be delivered from it in the Name of Jesus

Your beginning may be small . Humble yourself and God will exalt you in.due season!

God who is the Author is also a Finisher. He will finish whatever He authored in your life. Don’t look down.on.anyone and don’t be angry when people look down on you and treat you with disdain. They do not understand or know where God is taking you to. Let your pain be your ministry

Change your narrative. Don’t ill-treat anyone because you were ill-treated.

Give Jesus a central place in your life
Be delibrate in making room for Jesus. God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, he shall reap!

Don’t let people’s attitude affect your disposition towards God

A. Put God first in your devotion to God Mathew 6:33 NKJV But (A)seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God is excited when you think about Him. If God is.not part or your budget, that project may not  succeed

B. Put God first in your stewardship
In all your.finances

What have you done for the Lord in all God had done for you?
2 Corinthians 9:8 NKJV
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

C. Make room for Jesus in all your decisions
Take no steps without God

Mathew 6:19-21 NKJV Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

D. Make yourself available
Be always there when needed
