Made For His Glory The Youths and Career Woman – Dcns. Elsie A. Peters

As a Youth

2 Timothy 2:22
Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.(NKJV).

The boy David was annointed King as a youth. As young as he was, he understood that the man Goliath was an uncircumcised Philistine who was defying the armies of the living God

Today we have youths who are more u terested in carrying the most expensive phones, wearing the best and latest in fashion and changing hairstyles better that salary earners!

Accelerating Growth Through Purposeful Leadership -Bishop Sunny Faith Ugbah

Leadership must be purposeful in order to be successful

  • People do not follow accidential leaders, but with delibrate leaders, because God is not an author of confusion. The Holy Spirit is not a confused spirit.
  • Where there is no goal or plan to succeed, that person has already planned to fail.
  • Luke 4:43
but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.”(NKJV).
  • Anything that is purposeful must succeed. Anytime you see failure, there are people who are not purposeful or a leader is not delibrate.

HOW TO IDENTIFY A CLEAR LEADERSHIP

  1. The Leadership must have a clear vision. Habakkuk 2:2-3
2 Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. (NKJV).
Vision is a mental image of a preferable furure. Where there is no vision the people go astray. People only help those who knkw what they want. May help come to us in Jesus Name. Amen. Your vision must be spiritually or God inspired.
  2. Purposeful Leadership creates Systems and structures Acts 16:4-5
4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep, which were determined by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem. 5 So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily. (NKJV).
When the system work normally, growth becomes natural. You do not need a crowd to establish a system that works. We have the Cell system with leaders and Pastors as an example.
  3. A Purposeful Leadership raises a team of other leaders. The Church struggles when their abilities is not directed to creating other leaders. 2 Timothy 2:2
And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.(NKJV).
    Exodus 18:21-24
21 Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 22 And let them judge the people at all times. Then it will be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you, for they will bear the burden with you. 23 If you do this thing, and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all this people will also go to their place in peace.” 24 So Moses heeded the voice of his father-in-law and did all that he had said. (NKJV).
    Acts 6:3-7
3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; 4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” 5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, 6 whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them. 7 Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith. (NKJV).
The Pastor cannot do it alone. Everyone must be involved.
  4. A purposeful leader leads by example Philippians 4:9
The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.(NKJV).
When you want to do anything, ask yourself how the leader would have handled the matter. We cannot build a ministry where everyone is doing his own thing the way he wants it. A leader must be responsible. You must know that you have to lead by example. You do not go by the side and make side talks.
  5. Purposeful Leadership is a leadership that takes responsibility. You do all you can to galvanize your group. Paul had to drop John Mark because he was not profitable, until a rime where he became matured enough to be responsible. You cannot condone irresponsibility from people because of relationships. We must be held accountable for all our actions

Made for His Glory as a Care Giver -Mrs. Ekaette Akpan

Made for His glorymeans that you are specially created or formed to manifest the awesomeness and greatness of God through your good works and through your deeds..

AREAS IN WHICH WE CAN RENDER CARE

  1. SPIRITUAL NEEDS- Through Evangelism Matt 28 :19, Mark 16:15
  2. PHYSICAL – basic needs like clothes
  3. EMOTIONAL-Have love for one another Mark 8:1-3, 8:30-44
  4. FINANCIAL HELP – Giving money
  5. SOCIAL – Good attitude, relationships
  6. EDUCATIONAL –Teach others, share knowledge, even to the lost sheep Matt 13:12-14

The Lord Jesus is our perfect example. While on earth, He went about doing good.

As you do these things, be steadfast.

QUALITIES OF A CARE GIVER

A caregiver should :

  • Be filled with the spirit of God Galatians 5:20-22
  • Be a light Matt 5:16
  • Be empathic
  • Be dependable
  • Be reliable

Matthew 25:31-40
31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, “Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, “Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You? 40 And the King will answer and say to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me. (NKJV).

As you do the work of God sincerely, there us a reward from God, as:

  • Your lifewould be transformed from glory to glory
  • You will be above only
  • The plan of the enemy against you shall not come to pass
  • Your light shall shine amongst men.

Made For His Glory -Child Evangelism -Gladys Amadi

Who is a child?

  • A child is a person who has not reached aduothood
  • Offsprings of both male and female

Proverbs 22:1-6
1 A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold. 2 The rich and the poor have this in common, The LORD is the maker of them all. 3 A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished. 4 By humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches and honor and life. 5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; He who guards his soul will be far from them. 6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. (NKJV).

Children can actually bring a bad name to the family

  • The world is going through many things, exposing children to many vices,
  • They are introuduced to the internet and parents do not censor what they surf in the nets
  • We do not know their friends and entrust them into the hands of caregivers
  • We should not leave our children behind, they should be carried along.
  • At birthday parties they dress half nude.

What are we doing about it when sometimes, the mothers buy these skimpy clothes for their daughters?

In education, we have different types of parents
Authoritarian parents– do as I say. I DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS. They are unusually very stroct

AuthoritativeParents -boss over the child. The child should be told the reason for why he is disciplined so discipline is not mistaken for punishment.. we should communicate with them from the womb. Teach them sign languages

Permissive Parent. –They do not care about the actions of their children. Proverbs 22:1. They are more concerned in acquisition of material things. Let us balance our lives

Uninvolved Parents. They are not involved and children cannot confide in them because they are too busy to listen. These children confide in strangers to their detriments. Some of them have grown up to be rebellious.

Psalms 127:3-5
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of ones youth. 5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate. (NKJV).

  • May God make us proud parents in future in the Name of Jesus!
  • Create time for your children, no matter how busy you are. Check their homeworks and be interested i their friends and passions.
  • Play football with them. Lure them wuth your concern to yourself and God,
  • Create time for them and make them also the glory of God.
  • The same way you take care of yourself spiritually and physically, do so to them
  • Check their associations.
  • I pray that the God of Heaven will give you the grace to remain the image of God in the Name of Jesus

Made For His Glory in Evangelism -Dcns. Inemesit Archibong

  • You and I are made for His glory.

We are to display His beauty and splendor
Are you doing what God created you for?

  • Evangelism means sharing news to convince someone to join or accept what you are sharing.

  • As Christian we are to witness Christ. Others may have anything else to witness to others, but we have Christ. Witnessing is not for a select group, but for everone who is saved.

  • Jesus gave this to us as a great commission.
  • Mathew 28 19
  • Acts 1 8
  • John 15 16
  • Mark 16:15
  • Evangelism is the heartbeat of God, for which purpose we are made for His glory
  • It is our responsibility to carry out this great commissio enthrusted into our hands by God, this is the reason for our creation.

There is no one who comes in contact with Jesus without having the good news to share.

  • Life without Jesus makes one a minus!

  • In John 14 When the woman of Samaria met with Jesus, her life changed because of this great commission.
  • We have our city just like sne had. She went to her city to evangelize.
  • Made for His glory in evangelism… Why should it be in our time that we have empty seats in Church?
  • We have received enough word. This is time to put it into action!
  • Why do we have increase in crime now than ever? Have we reach them timely enough to prevent their destruction?
  • There is increase in different vices, and people do it shamelessly!

  • So much disobedience displayed by our children, young girls are walking about half naked?

  • We have neglected them in our witnessing
  • If we refuse to evangelize, it is a sin and there is no sin not punishable by God.
  • There is salvation where we speak the word of life to them.
  • If we refuse to evangelize, many things ,ay go wrong
  • Ezekiel 33:17-19
17 “Yet the children of your people say, “The way of the LORD is not fair. But it is their way which is not fair! 18 When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die because of it. 19 But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it. (NKJV).
  • Mark 8:38
  • Partner with the Holy Ghost to convict the persons you speak to.

Apart from the reward of evangelism, the Bible says he that wins souls is wise.

Put on the power botton, make use of the power God has endued with otherwise you will put the works of the cross in vain

  • Let us depopulate the kingdom of darness and populate the Kingdom of heaven. God bless you.

May For His Glory in Church -Dcns. Comfort J. Effiong

Genesis 2:15
Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.(NKJV).

  • The redeemed man is saddled with the responsibility of keeping God’s garden

Hebrews 12:23
to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,(NKJV).

  • The Churchnis an assembly of God’s first born.

Ephesians 5:26-27
26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

  • God loves the church and has given Himself for the Church.
  • As Christian, we all should do the same to members of the body. God owns the Church and wants to present to Himself, a glorious Church. We should also owned the Church.
  • Matthew 16:18
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.(NKJV).

Christ is focussed on building the church.

  • 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14
13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. (NKJV).
  • For everyone redeemed, the glory of God is embedded in us.
  • Genesis 2:15
Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.

The body is not without spots or wrinkles, but it is cleased by the Word.

  • As we hear, believe, sit under the unction of the word we are blessed. Why then do we not cover the nakedness of the Church? It is because we do not know that the body is still undergoing cleansing

  • Christ dressed us up and covered our nakedness with His glory.
  • To dress involves dressing up, covering up, adornment
  • To keep – involves preservation, to own, protection and guarding jealously.
  • After today, with the glory of God inside us, we will clean up one another, make beautiful one another, in the Name of Jesus! Amen.
  • Mathew 11; 39 All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses
  • Ephesians 3:10
to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,(NKJV).
  • In Christ, the fullness of God is revealed in us

We are carrying the fullness of God’s glory to display it to principalities and all the territorial powers

  • God is looking at a glorious Church, a triumphant church that the gate of hell cannot prevail
  • Let us not fight one another, but be determined to dress one another. We are made for Gis glory, even in Church!

Made For His Glory in My Home – Pst.(Mrs.) Uduak O. B. Akpan

God made you for His glory. Have you fulfilled the purpose of your creation?

Matthew 5:14-16
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (NKJV).

Isaiah 43:1-7
1 But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. 3 For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. 4 Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life. 5 Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west; 6 I will say to the north, “Give them up! And to the south, “Do not keep them back! Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth– 7 Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” (NKJV).

This word is not just for the women, but to all men, women, youths and children.

  • God knows us by our names.
  • If God created you for His glory, have you fulfilled your purpose on earth?
  • We are His image bearer!

Brighten the corner where you are

We are expected to be light wherever we are.

  • As light, what have you done to attract people to God?
  • The glory of God is to reflect on us. Are we the image of God?

Can somebody see you in your home and say you are made for His glory?

It is possible for people to give a good citation of who you are not?

  • Are you the type who will leave home and peop,e will celebrate, or one that would be so missed that they want you back in a hurry?
  • What type of wife or mother are you?
  • Every female is a pote tial mother
  • Genesis 3:20
And Adam called his wifes name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.(NKJV).

How do you relate with your mother and sisters in law?

  • Are you rolling heads and speaking all you see or do not see?
  • Are you an area scatterer?
  • What kind of friends do we keep?
  • What type of light are you?
  • Are you like the low voltage light from PHCN that destroys appliances and have to be switched off?

  • Are you one that troubles your husband till he develops hypertension?
  • Can people have confidence in you whe they confide in you? MADE FOR HIS GLORY!
  • When God created woman, He saw her as very good.
  • Ephesians 5:22
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.(NKJV).

If there is no peace at home, there would be no peace in church.

  • Couples are causing each other tears.
  • Can someone see your spouse and glorify God in heaven?
  • Have you turned her or him to a punching bag making unbelievers to separate the fights?
  • Are you showing your children how you fight? They will model it out in their own homes too!
  • Anyone who is not saved cannot model the glory of .God.
  • God is saying to you this evening: Fear not, hold on to God, do not give up wherever you are. God is interested in that situation.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. 3 For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; …

  • You are not forgotten. Irrespective of what people may be saying, God says: Fear Not! I will bring my glory to pass in your life
  • That husband or wife that is beating the spouse, god will visot that situation.
  • When we join our hands to pray as a couple, God performs His miracles.

As a wife, husband, child, youth, we are all made for His glory.

May the world see the light in you and glorify your father who is in heaven.
Oh the Glory of Jesus
Shines brighter and brighter
The closer I get, the more I see the Glory of our soon coming King.

  • If you know that the light God made you to be, is not shining, God will make you manifest His glory.

Made For His Glory -Rev. Emmanuel Abeke

The word glory is inexplainable, but we can catch a gleam of it

The Word Glory is a hebrew word hadar- which means splendor, glory, majesty, honor, beauty, excellence. This is related to the words for ‘glory’ and ‘dignity’

By the grace of God, you will begin to manifest God’s glory this season

  • Whatever the enemy stole is reactivated by the death of Christ.
  • Welcome to Women’s Week 2019
